Quintessence vs. Anubis

Okay, well, I've noticed a lot of FG decks in the Top 50 have Anubis in them. Since Anubis is usually used to protect two specific creatures, Elite Otyugh and Fallen Druid, would running one or two Quintessence be more viable than running one or two Anubis?

The amount of Time quantum used in the standard Rainbow deck, at least one that uses Hourglasses and/or unupgraded Sundials, is quite large, and Anubis doesn't help this. However, the amount of Aether quantum used is very little, as it's usually only used on TUs, or the occasional Ulitherid.

I was just messing around with different FG decks in the trainer, and I found that Quintessence is a tad more useful than Anubis, and much easier to play, since I don't have to wait to play Anubis, then make it Immortal, and then play my other creatures and make them Immortal, too. Quintessence makes the deck faster, and saves two turns.

I find it better, but it's situational. For example, I'd rather have Anubis when I have a lot of good mutants, but Quint is better for rushes. Overall, I like quint more.

A lot of the new FG decks have started adding in two or three extra phase shields, which can really start to chew up aether quantums. That said, Quintessence appears to do the intended job better (that is, it's less vulnerable and faster which is important in a control deck).

I tried to use both phase shields and q-e, and dropped the shields for now.

Also, if I have enough pillars to overproduce on time mana, I often create an anubis by mutating in lategame, and rewind it to use it normally.

I'm running Quintessence right now in my Rainbow GK, and I enjoy it a lot more than Anubis.  Reason being is that I don't have to worry about wasting my time quantum on Anubis and I can save it for HGs and dials.  Plus, if you have one Oty down and quinted, then you can pretty much control the pace of the game through sundial chains (the same is true for FFQ quinting, for bonds). 

I think I removed a dial from SG's Unupped rainbow to add Quint in?
