devourer+vamp in pvp https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=15740.msg201576#msg201576

hello, i actually started playing this game 2 days ago. so, i created this deck:
Code: [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5up 5up 5up 5up 5uq 5uq 5ur 5ur 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 622 622 622 622 622 622 7ta 7td 7umthe idea is either fast quanta drain (devouver+steal+fractal) or mass vampiers
it plays like 7:3 with AI5 and 1:1 with FG.
but it's not good enough in pvp - devoring gravity decks, fire rush decks etc shoot it easily.
so - can it be somehow updated to pvp deck or i've got to make a totally new one?

i guess your mark is aether ;).

to make a deck like this more effectiv, i recommend to make it smaller (30-32 cards).
this way you improve the chance to draw what you need.

your goal is to fractal the devourers asap. then stall the opponent untill you can fractal the vamps for the kill. (another tactic can be drain life or fractal dragons)

your devourers should get you plenty of darkness quanta, so you need the pillars only for your devourer launch.
you can fractal your vamps, that means you dont need 6 of them.

a suggestion for your deck:
4 aether pillars
6-8 darkness pendulum (less when unupped)
6 devourers
3 vamps
5 fractal
2 nightfall/eclipse
4-6 steals, daggers, dusk shield or drain life

There is no need for that obsidian pillars.. if you take them out, the deck'll be smaller. Take out 1 steal, 4 of them is kinda over it. Take out a nightfall, 2 is enough.

If you took that all out, your deck should now look like this..

:

Code: [Select]
5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5up 5up 5up 5uq 5ur 5ur 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 622 622 622 622 622 622 7ta 7td 7um
Your deck is now smaller, good for pvp's.

Note : For oty decks, swap any card (most preferably a devourer or two) for a Drain Life.
Edit 'n note number 2 : To make it EVEN smaller, take out a devourer and a vamp. 33 cards. I wouldn't recommend it that much, but one way or another it would work.

Also, to imrpove what Hrmmm said.. a deck picture.

Code: [Select]
5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5up 5up 5up 5up 5uq 5ut 5ut 5ut 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 61o 61o 61o 61o 622 622 622 622 622 7taOr like he said, swap the steals for drain life(s), vamp stilletos or dusk shield.

thx all for suggestions, i'll try to make it smaller. one more question - is it wise to sell upgraded cards won from FG to buy ones for my deck? atm i have 5 in my deck and 9 random cards

I normally sell all upped cards I get from FG's if I have a goal in mind. I'm currently selling them for CCYB, so if you want to sell them and up this deck, okay.

Just saying, if you are going to sell them and do not have a FG deck yet (or you don't like the one you are using), you might want to go check the FG decks section. They are the best source of electrum in the gaame.
Otherwise, sure, hit the road.
