Yes I tested it, hence why it is in deck help. And yes, it works. Just at a much slower speed.
And you would be surprised at how often you get fractal, but nothing to use it on. Or no Hope.

try using photons/ray of light cos they cost nothing 2 take out and upgraded they create light on their own.
