Random Plant Deck (Semi-Permalink)
« on: March 23, 2011, 09:15:10 pm »
Ok, so with 1400-1600 electrum and 4 lv2 battles, I slapped this deck together in a hurry.
Code: [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bt 5bu 5c0 5c0 5c1 5c1 5c2 5c3 5c4 5c6 5c6 5c6 5c8 5c8 5c8 5c8 5c9 5cgThe water mark is for the forest spirits, the question mark is a mitosis.

I works well for a 10-minute deck.

Seems like there are too many pillars. I'm not sure, and I'm too lazy to analyze it.
Secondly, either focus more on the spirits or remove them. The water mark helps only the forest spirits, and doesn't help the rest of the deck.

btw, the second ??? is the mark import code. remove the last section of the deck code to get rid of it.

Well, after I posted this, I went to the Bazaar and got myself couple Purify cards, to go with the water mark, and I continue to add Mitosis and other such small cards like Forest Spirits and Cockatrices. I put too many pillars in there on purpose. It balances over time, with judgement and averaging. I hope.

It looks great but it seems too many cards and could slow you down when setting up your strategy.Take out 1 dragon or 2

Yah, I didn't try to create a rush. But I usually have so many pillars and small cost cards that I can just wait for 10 :life to pile up. The average is 4 pillars on the first turn.

Why so oversized? A smaller deck would be more consistent. Why not just pick out the cards that you're happiest to see when you draw them, and only include those? While a fat deck won't deck-out easily, you generally win or lose most matches long before decking out even with a small-ish deck. The main exception is against stall-focused opponents, but simply "not decking out" won't beat a stall deck anyway, as they are designed to take a while to setup but be unstoppable when they do get going. IMHO smaller/tighter decks are always better unless you have a lot of stalling and/or card drawing ability.
Just my thoughts. GL in your deck-building!

Oh, right, sorry. Changed it now.

Thanks, and call it rebellion, but I like the random. I probably should change that. ^_^'
