The basic idea is to have a reflection shield and then shard of wisdom your opponents immortal creature(s)

If you take a regular creature of your opponents, and hit it with acceleration, purify, quinessence, shard of wisdom, while you have a reflect shield on, they have no recourse I know of.

The trouble is you have to outlast whatever else they have going on. I typically try with plenty of purify, sanctuary, shard of regeneration? (life shard), I've only got two wisdom shards so far as well, so a maximum of two creatures. Plus, you have to wait until you have the full combo in hand, and the shield equipped.

I tried to find this idea in the forums but couldn't, I didn't look too hard for it so I'm sorry if anyone else has posted a similar concept.

You don't really need to add so many cards to the combo, SoW+reflective shield is already enough damage. There is a deck called "SoW reflect", which does exactly what it's name says. It contains sanctuary, SoW and reflective shield as basic cards, but you can always add lobotomizer, or even a few blessings if you'd like to.

Thanks for the deck posting tip. I've edited my post. I'll look at the SoW + reflect deck, but I like the idea of growing the creature, so that even if you hit a small one it'll still out damage the dragon they played two turns later.

Reflective shield (the light one) is much better for this deck, because you need to play the shield as soon as possible and because you're reflecting, the damage reduction of the shield won't even matter much.

I use life as my mark for this deck, so I don't have to worry about getting enough life for the larger shield. The damage reduction makes a big difference with tiny creature rushes. Scarabs for example. I usually have both shields but I find the damage reduction helps outlast a lot.

Except waiting until turn 8 is terrible and leaves you massively prone to rushes and clogged hands. That is bad. Reflective shield > jade shield. Zero reason to not use the cheaper option.

SoW reflect requires a very dedicated deck to it, or else you'll be overpowered far too quickly and far too easily.
You need the shield out as quickly as possible. Mirror shields are okay, but life shields are just too bulky. I use reflectives to deal with immo rushes and monoairs and devourers.
