Mutation decks are inherently volatile. And playing with unupped elves means you're going to sometimes hope for dragons but murder your own creatures. That's why these decks aren't super popular.
What you have here is very good, though. I'd probably lose the diss shield. Also consider replacing a couple pillars with pendulums if you're finding yourself short on
quanta, or replace one pillar with an AM if not.
Your other option is to replace some cards with novas which would allow you to use mutant abilities. That way you could also add 2-3 deflags. But it's a messy endeavor. You end up with something like this:

You could replace an elf with a second AM. Actually, that is pretty fun to play. 8)
