I'm thinking about taking out the Unstoppable's and just having 4 Gravity Towers to devour with, but getting through some shields ( IE: Permafrost, Diamond, Etc ) is just too valuable sometimes. Any advice?

Wouldn't 4 Hourglasses be a bit too much in a 39 card deck?
