Poison Water deck https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=40643.msg503305#msg503305

I test currently this deck:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 52g 52g 52g 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52q 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5ia 5ia 5ia 5ia 5ia 5ia 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 7tb 8pk

Before I did used the Chrysaoras I tried it with the death stalkers but they are too much dependent on Nightfalls and if there is a shield they would not get thru at all.
Then I tried the Chrysaoras and I found them much better usable. First they can use their ability thru shields and they are not requiring any further cards to attack. And because they are water creatures I did added Purify as a defensive mean. But I'm still not feeling well especially against Arena decks because I have no further defenses in this deck. The novas are there to speed the deck up and to bring out the vampire stiletto. But both cards will get removed as soon some of the pends and the Arsenic are upgraded.

Any further ideas?

Shards of Sac would help vs. arena (if you have them).
Skull shield would add defence.  Nova/Dagger dont seem useful enough.

I've used a similar deck that contained 6 novas 6 sundials for added defense as well as card drawing; it works reasonably well.  I don't think you need those purifies, certainly not that many, anyway.  The dagger is a good card but is competing with arsenic's slot.  Try using sundials, a fog shield, and whatever utility cards you think might come in handy in elements you aren't using that you can pay for with 2 or 3 novas at the most.  (deflagration, lightning, fog shield, etc)

Novas open up interesting rainbow strategies such as fog shield or sundial. Take out the vampire dagger. It's really hard to get out, and quite impractical. Another arsenic could replace it. The novas aren't really that useful unless you're going to be using some of the other quanta they give out. If you want more stall you could also consider plague or bonewall.

I have 2 upped SoSas and 2 Arctic Squids I could add as well. Plaque is a bit too slow. Bonewall requires a lot more bone pillars in the deck (for 2 Bone walls I need 3 additional pillars).
I tried adding the SoSas but when I could use them most my health is already too low.

Add:

Currently testing this variant of my poison deck:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 52g 52g 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52q 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5jm 5lc 5lc 5lc 5lc 5lc 5lc 6rt 6rt 8pk

Here the 6 novas are enough to run the complete deck. The bone pillars are added to run the poison abilities of the Chryasoras.

Sundials will work if there are no SoSas

And I have only 1 Arsenic.

The sundial version will come next for testing.

I'm surprised how well the sun dials works in this deck.

Now I'm thinking which card to upgrade first? Poison? It deals more damage but is due the higher cost somewhat slower. Novas? Sun dials to make them free playable?

But one issue is about which shield to use? Fog Shield, dusk mantle? Even Solar shield should be possible. The shield should not cost more than 3 quanta as long not all novas are upgraded. OK upping the novas will not be so good because they requires 2  :entropy quanta to cast. Therefore the maximum for supernovas would be 2 cards.

Fog would probably be your best bet. 2 :air for 40% damage reduction.

Other issues. Most issues I have is now the mana production. Problem is that the deck have enough quanta production but quite often it comes too late. Now I'm considering to replacce the 6 novas and the water quanta generator with quantum pillars.

Not sure if quantum pillars are reliable enough. 6 novas should serve you fine in a 30 card deck. Take out the bone pillars and replace the shields for fogs. Scorpions might be a bit too expensive since they cost 3 :life. You generally want to use cards that cost less than or equal to 2 quanta when using novas.

What to upgrade first in this deck?

Currently it looks this way:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 52g 52g 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52q 5f6 5f6 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5i5 5jm 5jm 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 8pk

If I upgrade the poisons first I would have too less death quanta producer in the deck because upped poison uses 2  :death instead of 1  :death. Supernovas are slowing down the deck because they require 2 :entropy quanta.
