Hey guys I've been playing this for a few days now, and I'm not sure if this is the way things are meant to be. But the game is horrible slow. I've only managed to get a score of 240 so far, and probably win 55% of the time against the level 3 elder AI.

I use a water deck. The game was very fun to start, and is still enjoyable. However at this rate I don't see myself lasting long lol, it's becoming a chore fast :(

Is there anyway to level faster? or more efficiently? this seems like its going to take weeks and is getting boring fast. Have I missed something? or have a picked a dud element? :P

Any help/advice/deck build advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Murs

ok here is my deck. you can see what cards I've won so far.

I put in the extra ice shield for when it gets stolen lol.

Ideally I want to put in more creatures. But I've found I often don't turn up pillars, which is why i've left that amount in there. And the freezes/icebolts are so useful when in a bind.

I keep the quantum pillars in for the abilities, and I love that steal when I have a chance to use it lol.

I currently only have 432 gold :(

Well, looking at that deck, I can see why, lol. At 38 cards, it's quite big, and with no draw control, you're more vulnerable to bad draws. The deck I have here is a decent one, and would definately increase your win percentage. It uses a Mark of Fire, so you'll probably have to spend the 100 Electrum to change it (click on Metamorphosis at the bottom), but it'll be cheap to make with the cards you already have, and you could sell off the ones you don't need.

Mark of FIRE

The strategy here is to use your Mark of Fire to build Fire Quantum for the Deflagrations and, if necessary, the single Rain of Fire. You'll use the Freezes to stall the enemy's creatures while you stall for time to play the dragons, and then rush them. Only Freeze SMART TARGETS, such as a big Otyugh (big enough to eat a dragon), Fallen Elf, Arctic Squid, and Dragons. Mind Flayers don't harm this deck at all.

I hope this helps. If you want to stay strictly to Water, I could probably design another deck for you.

Also, feel free to check out the trainer to get some more ideas.

Well, usually, Water is a more focussed element that is much harder to play in the beginning. Fire and Darkness, as has been said many times in this forum, are your best bets as a newbie. If you don't have the money to switch, or don't want to start over, here are some helpful tips.

Keep the deck thirty cards and of a single element.

Try to balance Pillars to cost. If you're using a lot of dragons, bring more pillars. If you're using a lot of lower cost creatures, then you probably won't need to many.

Use Freezes and Ice Bolts on major threats (Otyugh, Mind Flayer, Fallen Druid, Dragons), not just any creature.

The Ice Shield is your best friend, but it can be stolen easily, and then used against you (though the AI3 doesn't do this often).

Lok around this forum and see if you can find some other helpful tips, or ask in the chatroom. There are usually always players willing to help and give advice. If you want, post your deck here, either as a picture or a list, and we'll see what we can do to make it better. =D

Not bad. I actually start with the earth speed deck. Why? It's a bit more fun to play, I think it's faster, and you don't have to switch out marks when you go to rainbow thus saving you money.
But you either had to start as time and buy an entirely new deck or start as earth and have to switch your mark to time at the beginning. I fail to see how you save any money in the long run.
Actually, if you start off with the time mark and then sell all of your cards, you can buy 18 pillars, 6 graboids, and 5 shriekers (you'll have to keep one time factory).  After just the first three quests (if I'm remembering right), you can buy that 6th shrieker and sell your last time factory.  And yes, then you can easily switch back and forth between your rainbow deck for FG and your AI3 grinding deck without having to change your mark constantly.

I start as time, and buy the two earth creature cards I need. I then already have some of the time cards for the rainbow deck. I prefer this as monofire gets boring to play.

I suppose for a newbie who's never played before. Monofire is the way to go.

Alright, whatever floats your boat. Earth/time mark is rather boring as well, imo. I guess clicking on Graboids is kinda exciting?
Ever seen Tremors? Can't help but say GRABOIDS every time.

And also, you do save money by having only to switch marks, as opposed to buying a whole new deck. So you do save money in the long run.
