Need some help on my FG grinder https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=8515.msg98482#msg98482
« on: June 22, 2010, 01:21:13 pm »
Hi all,
first i guess i'll show my deck  ::)

Code: [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4vo 52n 52r 52r 55q 592 592 5f8 5f8 5i9 5li 5rk 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5up 5up 621 621 621 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6u6 74b 74b 7am 7n3 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q8
as you might notice i have some of my cards upped already :)       (i have 6 upped graboids for shrieker t50/ai3 also)
I started with SG's unupped FG grinder, but i wanted to give it my own twist.
Sadly that didn't worked out to well.
My plan was to get better chances against the medium/harder gods.
I can't see that much of an improvement compared to SG's deck.

So my question is, should i go back to her deck and just upgrade the cards in that one, should i pick a new deck? ???
or can you guys give me some advice to improve this one.

I'm quitte new to elements, and tho i registered quite a while ago i never visited the forums neither playing elements, (due to school). But i appreciate any advice, the tactic seems pretty straightforward, but if it isn't clear i can always explain (:

So after i start counting matches (since today) i'm going to track my stats with this deck while slowly upping the pillars (since i can use them in almost every rainbow deck, or someone can give their opinion about the order of upping)

PuppyChow's (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1748.0.html) deck is very good and around the size you're looking for.  It's popular for good reason.  I can't give you specific changes, but perhaps it can inspire you a little.

thats a 5 outta 24 (lmost 20%, how to get that up  ???
Not saying you can't improve your deck, but I wouldn't feel too bad about your percentage here.  You faced a crappy set of gods.

Dark Matter, Phoenix, Obliterator, Rainbow, Scorpio, and Seism are extremely difficult no matter what deck you play.  I usually don't even bother to play Dark Matter or Rainbow, and quit Seism and Obliterator if they get good draws.  And these were 9 of your 24 games.  Octane and Dream Catcher can both be very hard, and that was 6 more of your games.

thanks, iknow that (but i have been on FG grinding for a bit longer (like 150games) and the winning percentage is probably about 35% or so) but i haven't noted the stats of that, so im gonna do that now.

And for this deck
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1748.0.html (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1748.0.html)
PuppyChow's, should i up those cards?
for sure the shards and the nova's ( ineed 1 more shard and 2 more nova's)
but can it work unupped, apart of the towers/shards/nova's and the cards that are upped in my deck?
if so i might switch after upped those 3 cards

If you want to play Puppy Chow, I suggest Miniwally or MrBlonde(40 card with antimatter) variations because with the original deck in 1.23 you are going to do better than 40% on the long rung with all cards upped.

Also the second deck I posted is not so slow at it seems to be.For instance, with Puppy Chow, against Seism games are very long and you often deckout. At least with this deck you win when you have the board under control and the higher winning mark, worth that it can be a little more slow at setup.Yes , with 40 deck rainbows games are a little faster, but it's only because you lose more often  and losing games are always faster than winning ones.

Yes, the deck you have posted in Puppy Chow post  deck(rainbow 34 card with permafrost tested...), I have tested and it works better than original.

I add MrBlonde Variation

Code: [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u6 6u7 6u7 717 71b 744 74b 74b 77f 7am 7do 7do 7gp 7n3 7q5 7q5 7q8 7q9 7q9 7t9 80d 80h 80h

Well, With half upped cards, maybe it is better to continue on your deck, but If you are upgrading cards, when you have all upped, you can have a try and see if them suit your playstile. Both decks are very consistent and are tested in a large amount of games, so they are never a bad investment.
