Smurf Account - Deck help needed

Hey guys. My normal account is level 59 right now (one level from entering plat!), and I now want to raise a smurf to greatness as well! I decided to start with entropy, as that is one element that I have not played a lot yet.

This is what I have right now:

The deck is pretty straightforward. Photons and Mutation for early Abomination spam, and sometimes surprise results. I remember getting a 13/6 Purple Dragon with Mitosis once. Fun game.

The question is: am I doing it right? I don't know much about QI. Is there a better way to play this kind of deck? Which cards should I upgrade first? Thanks in advance!

You should run nova. Besides being able to use non-entropy mutant abilities, it'd let you splash a lycanthrope/deja in & you'll quite often get a turn one photon+mutant

Mutation decks need a low amount of pillars since you're using 2 cards & 2 quanta rather than 1 card & 5 quanta for an abomination. You could also counterbalance it with purple dragons like you're doing now

Thoughts? The first couple of games I had a TTW of 7, which I believe to be quite good for a deck with nearly no upgraded cards.

amusingly your second deck is the almost the same deck a friend of mine build as his very first deck (on my account). He ran -1 dragon -2 deja vus -1 werewolf+2 abominations +2 pillars. I was honestly surprised how successful it was!
back to topic: I guess this is pretty much the best its gonna get, you may think about taking 1 deja vu or dragon out and adding in abominations or pillars depending on your experience with quanta balance. Btw: If you have 3 novas and a mutation in hand you get a free fodder for mutation (singularity), but forgetting to use it will be punished harshly.

@kaempfer13: Indeed! I have often found that I was too short on quanta to effectively use two Deja Vus. I have removed one of them and added another pillar to have a higher percentage of two mutants in round one with Novae and upped pillars.

Next upgrades: the pillar, then mutations, Discord, dragons.
