My mark is Gravity, not sure why it doesn't show up.
I've done PvP 1 a lot trying to get up 500 points and I guess I was doing good, because I got there! Now that I have access to upgraded cards, I want to try PvP 2 some. I've done it before a litle but always had trouble. Going in with nearly the same deck, I want to know what else I can do to increase my odds of winning.
My main offensive strategy is to produce Scarabs either by the Scarab card or using Reverse Time on a Mummy and having a Pharoh summon them. Momentum helps a single Scarab get that initial oomph to Devour something small (including my own Virus/Retrovirus) or helps them get that 1 more HP they need during random situations after they've already gone on an eating frenzy. Sometimes instead of or in addition to that strategy, I use a Dune Scorpion with Momentum to start a chain of Neurotoxining the opponent to death, but that typically has to be set up near the beginning of the match.
My main defensive strategy is to use Bone Walls to protect myself, and quite often the Scarabs Devouring things will be enough to keep it up. Sometimes I use Armagios to protect instead, especially when there's a bunch of creatures with low attack (or I don't have any Bone Walls in my hand).
Viruses and my newly obtained Retroviruses can serve several purposes: whether it be to weaken a creature to be Devoured by a Scarab, kill off a monster, or to be used themselves as bait for the Scarabs. I use Reverse Time on more than just the Mummy, because it's fun and useful at times, so that's why I got the Eternity.
My problems with the deck are sometimes not having the right cards at the right time and I might be low on pillars. I know I have 60 cards and that could be a bad thing, but I feel like with more cards I can better control what ratio of cards I have. (For example, I have 5 Scarabs and 6 Momentums. With less than 60 cards, I couldn't have that 5:6 ratio; it'd have to be 1:1 or 2:3.)
I could take out the Reverse Times and ONLY use the Eternity for that, but then I have to rely on getting to a single card before I can change any of my Mummies into Pharos. I know there's a Pharoh card and I've seen the computer use it in Level 3 but it's hard for me to beat that deck and when I do I never seem to get the Pharoh. When I start getting Pharos, I can take out the Mummies and use them instead then I'll for sure take out the Reverse Times as well, but they use a lot of quanta to summon and I'll porobably have to get a lot more Time Factories or even change my mark to time (and maybe switch out a few of my Time Factories for Gravity Pillars).
Any thoughts on what I should do?
