Improving my deck vs False Gods https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=13421.msg169157#msg169157

Hello all,

I've been using a rainbow deck vs AI3 and AI5 for a while, and since I finally upgraded all its cards I decided to start going up against False Gods. However I wanted to see if someone has some recommendations for improving my deck.

The deck works pretty well, but my main problem is that it's not the most reliable. Too often I start out with a dead hand, either not getting what I need or not having the quanta that I need to put my cards on the board. There's nothing more annoying than having a hand full of Supernovas and a bunch of Towers that refuse to create Entropy quanta...

Most of the time I just need to get more towers on the field early on, so should I simply add more towers? Then again the last thing this deck probably needs is more cards. I've considered is taking out some healing, since 2xShard + 2xBond + Miracle is more than I usually need, but on the other hand having a bunch of healing does save my butt during those moment when I'm just sitting there waiting for my quanta to grow.

Code: [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u8 74b 74b 77i 77i 7am 7am 7gp 7k2 7n3 7q5 7q5 7q8 80h 80h 80hStrategy is pretty simple: FQ pops out Fireflies as a main source of damage, Oties eat enemy creatures or (if needed, especially in the case of annoying enemy shields) get Butterflied. Protects go on the Eternity and either on the Shield (in most situations) or the Towers (if the enemy likes to destroy towers). Quints go on any of the three main critters the moment they get played if the enemy can get rid of them.

Change your mark to entropy for Snovas.
Replace Bonds with SoG's
Remove 1 Protect artifact.
I find that usually rainbows like this work better with Fallen Druid as main damage, if you agree then:
-1 FFQ
+1 Druid
+1 Boneyard/Graveyard (I suggest boneyard since its cheaper, but if you like mass skellies for damage, pick graveyard(
+1 bonewall

Hm, if I change my mark to Entropy I certainly will be able to get off those Super Novas a lot easier... but then I won't be able to use the Hourglasses as reliably to speed up the deck. Do you think it's worth it?

Also, using a Druid + Boneyard in stead of the FFQ I'd have to rely on the enemy having plenty of units to kill in order to get my damage out, while the FFQ doesn't have to rely on anything except quanta. I guess a mutated creature would be a lot more useful on average than a simple Firefly though. What about compromising and going FFQ + Druid? Would that work well?

I think that as you only have 2 hourglasses, switching you mark to entropy would not be a problem.
Personally I don't like the FFQ approach in rainbow very much anymore, but if you do then keep it in, just take out a quint, because you usually don't need to quint all three. You could also use the Fireflies as food, and then use the skellies that are produced as mutants.
