5 makes Charger expensive to run with Fractal or Mitosis. It's not impossible, but I would've tried something else personally. Obviously you want to stick to use Chargers (fair enough, they're pretty good) but how about gravity Dragons with Parallel Universe, instead of Fractal? has good buffs to make the most of PU.

Why fractal or mitosis something that is only 1 stronger but double the cost? It would be debatable unupped, but upped charger is, in my opinion, by far gravity's best upped creature.

If you silence more often then EQ becomes less and less of a problem. I would say -1 aether pendulum +1 silence. Silences can also be played strategically like against mono aether and against sosacs/sundials chains.

If you want a cheaper alternative, Graviton Guards are faster to play and are more resistant to CC, but you need to deal with shields (DR shields can deny a lot of your damage in this scenario)

If we are going that route wouldn't it just be more effective to use something like minor pheonix that would have better support in stuff like deflagration and rage potion?

It depends on the CC you are facing. Mass CC slows down a fractix by one turn, but does nothing against guardtal in most cases. The point here is that killing a phoenix allows you to bring it back after one turn. It takes a lot of CC to take a guard down but when it dies it is gone. If you have them, you can always get rid of shields using SoFu.

I only have one shard of focus (I assume that's what you meant) and I'm not really sure of how to get shards besides luck. In terms of chargertal, do you think I should go for a different means of using Elite Charger? It seems that fractal/mitosis are not the most effective ways to make use of elite charger.

Another deck that makes good use of Chargers is combining them with Chaos Poer, but that requires more upgrades. The nice thing with fractal is that you multiply the upgrades in your deck without actually having them.
