Making $$$ using a Hope/Rol Deck - The Stats https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=5974.msg60994#msg60994
« on: April 29, 2010, 10:57:31 pm »
Hi there, I just wanted to share my stats with the Rol/Hope Deck - and the huuuge possibilities to gain money with it, as I did the last few days.

First of all the Deck I play, pretty standard:
Code: [Select]
5lk 5lk 5lk 5lk 6rn 6rn 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jq 7jq 7ju 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 80e 80e 80e 80i 80i 80i 80i 80i
I do not take credits for this, it was developed by other people. Namely Andran!

My Statistics for a 90min grind of FG:

Score:   -153
Games Won:    21
Games Lost:    51
Electrum         -483

This may sound horrible, but I won 21 games, which equals 63 Spins!
With a very average (very very very average) chance of winning a card of 30%, this is 19 Cards won. Which is infact a gain of nearly 20k Electrum!

I skip many FGs and only fight few, and I only fight most of them if I got a very got draw right in the beginning.

Gods i fight:

Elidnis
Miracle
Seism
Destiny
Paradox
Osiris
Divine Glory
Chaos Lord
Incarnate

Games I start I win in about 80% I think

I won't post strategies now, but I can if you want me to.

If this is in the wrong forums, I am sorry.

you really shouldnt just autoquit. In fact just losing to the gods and learning there decks better helps you defeat them.

I know every gods deck, and i have beaten all of them. But with this deck i only want to make money fast, and it's a lot faster than my time-rainbow I play when I want to win. :-)

you really shouldnt just autoquit. In fact just losing to the gods and learning there decks better helps you defeat them.
Some gods are simply impossible with this deck. For example, Hermes will Fire Storm all your Ray of Lights, Morte will Plague them, and Graviton and Obliterator will barrel straight through your shield. Against gods like these, this deck has a very, very slim chance of victory, and it is better to simply accept the loss and move on quickly without wasting time to the next god.

However, your statement may hold true for Rainbow decks that are designed to counter ALL god decks.

Score farming patches this up in no time. I can attest to that ;)

My win/loss is completely wrecked, you are right.  ;D

And my "real" next goal in this game is to reach the top50 for atleast some time each week.
So i guess i should start grinding t50 instead of making cash, you got your point... :'(

I like the idea,

The win/loss ratio you fix up later in level 3 or top 50.

But it's a consistent way to make money very fast.

I will think about to do it to upgrade all the game nonrare cards.

Thank you.

Hello. Nice deck.

One question, why the upgraded hopes? It will not be better the nonupgrades? And why the archangel?

I also like the idea, maybe not the perfect deck but still. What really matters is how many spins you get in an certain amount of real time. My rainbow is great, wins alot, but it's very slow so... Maybe I'll try to make something similar.

If you skip so many you are doing it wrong.

Here is my current deck. It is capable of winning in 10 turns.

Code: [Select]
5lk 5lk 5lk 622 622 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jq 7jq 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 80e 80e 80i 80i 80i
Deck justification.
3 unupped hopes. I rather be playing hope 1 turn earlier due to lowered cost and thus surviving a rush than getting that 1 extra in dmg reduction.
5 fractals. 4 are too few vs some RoF gods and Rainbow. 6 are too many and clog up the hand. Not yet won more than 3 upped fractals from Eternal and Decay. Why not upgrade? Why upgrade when two FGs can give you the card with high rates? Sounds like a waste of coins to an economical guy like me (i like a big pile of electrums). :3
4 sogs and 2 electrocutors. Can also be 3 of each kind instead. All is up to the player. I rarely have problems with getting an electrocutor when its needed.
I rather have 1 early sacrificeable SoG to the exploding FGs than clogging up my hand, electrocutors would set my first fractal back ALOT if used in that way.
6 RoLs Could be 5 and use another SoG. This can go either way. I prefer the extra RoL.

Skipable Fake Gods
To me there is only 1 unbeatable FG and that's Octane.
Too many unstable gas explosions that clears the RoLs. Most dmg I've done to him just for fun when I've drawn perfect hands is 130ish dmg.

Octane and Neptune (Decay too but Ive had worthless hands everytime and him awesome and I face him seldom with this deck) are the only ones ive not beaten with my 30 card deck.
Neptune should be doable with a very good luck in him not drawing any permafrosts and late inundiation.

**   **   **special mention**   **   **
Hermes is like 10/10 in difficulty but I've killed him once. He is always fast so I don't see it as a waste of time at least trying every now and then if you want to have beaten all FGs but the impossible Octane. I suggest you should try.

Eternal Pheonix would be easy if it weren't for the Ruby Dragons, they simply have too much dmg so you cant be easy on the RoLs even though his strategy requires you to be so with RoF Lances and Lightnings clearing them as they comes out. But he is far from impossible id say a 7/10. And because he is so fast in killing you there is no waste in time to at least try.
**   **   **   **   **   **   **   **   **

All others are very much beatable with consistency.

Your results are void for three reasons:

1. Your sample is biased -- unecessary skipping of too many FGs
2. Your deck is uncalibrated -- you must be kidding 2 SoGs and 4 Hopes in 30 cards
3. My personal belief is that you are not adept at handling the strategy -- have reason to believe that many other RoL-Hope players should agree with me on this

I assure you that in the correct hands, a decent to well calibrated RoL-Hope will yield +ve electrum (and necessarily +ve score) that over time is comparable to anti FG rainbow rates, a much higher EM rate which you are evidently not getting as reflected by your statistics, and perhaps very slightly fewer spins per unit time.
