I'm running the classic Aether deck (18 pillars, 6 shields and 6 dragons) and I want to know if I should stick with this deck and upgrade it or upgrade my rainbow?

All depends what you want to do.
I'd grind T50 for a while and go for 6 SoGs, they can help almost any deck.
