Lock down: Mitosis vs Fractal

I used to play PVP2 with my Pest/Fractal deck - and i luv it <3

Since update, i wonder whats more effective in Combo with Pest: Mitosis or Fractal??
I mean, could u prove whats better wit some kind of mathematic?

I would say fractal just based on the fact that CC is  very common in the PvP arena. fractal gets around the susceptibility of the combo although it is slower to get out

Mathematically, i believe mitosis gets an earlier first couple turns of denial.

Mitosis is more susceptible to early CC, but does get off to a faster start (especially with upped Darkness Pends) and can shut down the opponent very early if they have a bad opening draw.

Fractal doesn't really care about early CC, but it does take a little bit longer to get the denial started. However, it is able to achieve a more thorough lockdown due to the massive swarm of Pests coming down at the same time.

In general: Mitosis for faster but smaller amounts of denial, and Fractal for slower but larger amounts of denial.

I prefer the burst denial  and damage of Fractal because with Mitosis, your opponent often gets to play a card every turn while the denial is weak. This will often screw your setup over. Thanks to Fractal, your Vampires will also heal you much faster; you will always get more of them out in a shorter time with Fractal because you have tons of at that point. Remember that half the power of Devtal is the Fractal Vamps part.

I also heavily prefer Aether/Darkness over Life/Darkness due to the cards in Aether that can turn a game around completely, such as Lightning and Dimensional Shield.

There are certain cases where I enjoy Mitosis due to the fact that I have the option of adding healing via Feral Bonds to my deck, but I'd have to say that most cases where I find Feral Bonds useful I would find Phase Shield equally useful.  The only real advantage is that it's not useless against Momentum and lasts indefinitely unless destroyed, but sadly the metagame currently doesn't yield many occasions where those cases are common.

I also prefer the denial speed that Fractal is capable of.  It's much more difficult to counter since it doesn't rely on any one particular creature staying alive; you can simply keep Pests in your hand before playing them when you think it's safe.
