(Un-upgraded) Forest spirit (without adrenaline) is at best an offensive ramp card (akin to fractal, steam machine, firemaster, sky blitz) in that it's not as "instant-satisfaction" as a burst/rush card (cards with low-cost high-attack) but is much better if time is given. Because of this, I would take out the nymph's tears and add more stalling (heals, freezes, ice bolts, permafrost shield, flooding, squids, etc.)
As for quanta, I'd go with life mark and 5-6 out of thirty life pillars, the rest water pendulums/pillars. This ensures that you draw a life pillar in the first 7 cards over 80% of the time, and therefore get two life quanta for a forest spirit 80% of the time.
Note that this is just my analysis on forest spirits, most of the other decks posted on this thread work very well--if not better--than a pseudo-stall who's only method of winning is to hope the opponents don't touch your forest spirits.
