Life/Darkness - Deck ... it's good, but not good enough! https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=8509.msg98403#msg98403

Here's my new deck. I tried it alot, it works often ... then I win in pvp1 and level 3 games with 100 HP, but sometimes I'm going down without any chance ... now I want to ask you what to change, so that I can win nearly every single match. I want to earn much money by winning with 100 HP, so I can upgrade it soon.

Hope anyone has a good idea to help me. And please explain your suggestions ... I don't want to win just because of the help of others ... I want to understand the game perfectly ;)

Thanx,
matw

Slim it down, focus on what works the most effectively.  You don't need all those Heals and Drain Lives if you can get the repeat-healing of the Adrenalined+Nightfalled Minor Vampires out faster.  Empathic Bond is just way to slow and clunky when you have so much other healing happening.  Druidic Staff is pointless when you can play Vampire Stiletto.  And you really only need a single Steal to ace most AI3 and PVP1 games.

Try that on and see if it works a little better for you. :)
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

tried your deck 15 times ... here's the result:

4 times won with 100 HP left
7 times won with less than 100 HP left
4 times lost

i also tried another variation (by myself) 15 times ... here it is:

Code: [Select]
5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5bs 5c2 5c6 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 5c7 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5uo 5up 5up 5uq 5ur 5us 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut
results:

5 times won with 100 HP left
4 times won with less than 100 HP left
6 times lost

don't know if 15 games are enough to come to a meaningful conclusion.
in my opinion the second deck has some more chances to win with full HP, but when you draw the wrong cards you will lose more often. with the first deck i could win more games, but sometimes it was really really close.

so, some more opinions? what do you think? is there something else i could try? looking forward for some good advices :)

Well, if your goal is to maximize your chance of getting an Elemental Mastery, I'd take the deck that I posted above, remove all three Devourers, and replace them with 1 more Obsidian Pillar, 1 more Dusk Mantle, and 1 more Heal.

Basically, Dusk Mantle + Vampires should keep you in the 60+ HP range through most games, and then you save both Heals until just before you strike the killing blow and use them both to get you to 100 HP for the Mastery.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.
