I have been playing with scorpions and poison a lot. Trying all sorts of combinations of different poison delivery and different stalling factors. Deathstalker plus Bonewall seems like an obvious combination so I put them together. Denial is sort of a stalling factor, so I threw some Devourers in there. I like to use Devourers a lot- they seem to carry their weight regardless of what the rest of the deck is. Bonewall + CC is a classic combo, so Parasites, which also bridges the two elements. Having lots of bugs looks cool.

But then I remembered that Parasites are shitty (what was I thinking?), so I took them out and got this:

But like all of my decks it falls short. :/

I got interested in death decks, saw this denial & poison deck (?) and decided to put it on trainer and play a few games.
I found the problems to be:
  • Because there are only dark pendulums, you can only use darkness cards and death cards every second turn
  • Heavy on darkness quarta (due to devourer), light on death quarta after a few turns
  • Heavy reliance on nightfall for any damage, but this wasn't a big problem
  • Too many bone walls that are expansive and don't really seem to fit in

With some thought, I made this deck:
  • Mark of Darkness: To ensure that, if the obsidian pillars don't come out, the at least 1 devourer can be played every two turns
  • -all dark pendulum, +5 bone pillar, +2 obsidian pillar: As said, the dark pendulums kind of slow down the deck
  • -all bone walls +2 dust mantles: I didn't see how the bone walls fitted into this deck. They were expansive, and without a way to make it grow, it would be destroyed within 2 turns, and you would probably not have the quarta to play another one quickly. Also, I was thinking of putting some offensive dark creatures due to the devourers' quarta, but thought that having a dusk mantle would help slow down the opponents' creatures.
  • +1 arsenic, +3 poison: Get the poison damage going a little faster since you have almost no actual damage
Not very confident with what I just suggested though. Any other thoughts? :P

When I first saw your deck I didn't like the look of it. But it seems to work quite well. A little slow to get on the Darkness production sometimes, though. I thought of using Hax Shield but never tried it, but as I said your deck seems to work. Hax Shield gonna hax. I like the little poison boost as well.

Initially the Bonewalls were meant to be paired with the Parasites, but really they're still good without something to generate death effects. As they're a "block-all" kind of shield you don't need to get them out especially early, it can be used as a sort of 2-3 turn Dim Shield. I never found that I couldn't play them, and you need some sort of stalling factor with poison as your main attack force.

My deck is fairly heavy on Darkness but depending on the enemy deck you need to play your darkness cards soon.
