Need a little tips for my deck... https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=899.msg8190#msg8190

Hello everyone.
I'm a new player, started yesterday, and I'm trying to build a darkness/death deck
I've already upgraded a vampire stiletto into a vampire dagger and a minor vampire into a vampire.
Problem is, my deck looks pretty weak if I don't get the right card dealing.
My deck is composed as it follows:
4X Quantum Pillar
4X Bone Pillar
1X Vulture
1X Boneyard
1X Chrysaora
1X Photon
12X Obsidian Pillar
1X Black Dragon
2X Devourer
3X Parasite
1X Dusk Mantle
2X Steal
1X Nightfall
3X Drain
2X Minor Vampire
1X Vampire Dagger
1x Vampire

Anyone has some good advice for a newbie?

Thank you!

Why is important to have 30 cards?

1. Drop Quantum Pillars (never take more than 2 different kind)
2. Drop anything that uses something else than darkness or death
3. Make the deck 30 cards (important!)
4. Take 6 x Devourer

That should get you started. Good luck.

Thank you!

Why is important to have 30 cards?
Because the more cards you have, the more chance there is for a bad draw. Also there is the 6 card limit. Lets say you had those 6 x Devourers. It's very important to get them on the table as fast as possible. With a smaller deck there is a bigger chance of getting one in your opening hand. Decks that use more than 30 cards usually have some way of drawing multiple cards each turn.

Only drawback is that there is a small chance of decking out with only 30 cards but matches are usually over before that. If you find yourself decking out too often, that means you need to take more offensive cards in your deck.

Something like this usually works:

12 x Pillars
6 x medium damage/ special ability creature
6 x high damage creature
6 x special card (spell, shield, weapon, whatever..)
