SILENCE... https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=18247.msg232283#msg232283

So I was looking through the trainer, considering resetting my account (I have no money right now so...), and thought it was high time that the Aether Dragon Rush deck got an improvement.  I have only tested the deck a little but it seems to work wonders so far.
Code: [Select]
808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80f 80f 80f 80f 80f 80k 80k 80k 80k 80kNow I have to say that without Upgraded Towers this deck will fall apart, however with the towers you can completely stop a FG for a good few turns allowing you to set up and play a phase shield. I don't think that it is perfect yet, seeing as I always fail at quanta index, but otherwise I think this a fairly good improvement, imo.

Nice deck! I like the idea. However, maybe add 2 more Aether pillars to help with quanta. Someone (Probly SG) made a quanta thing figuring out how much you need. Add up the pillars and your cost of creatures, permanents and spells, (Assume They use their abilities twice, not that any creatures here have abilities). Creatures,Permanents,Spells/Pillars=5ish is the best. IDK the cost of Eliete Phase Dragon (I guessed 12). 100 (Silence is 2, right?)/14=7ish. But, IDK how to calculate the quanta with upgraded pillars, so I'm guessing adding 2 towers, w/out removing anything, is good.

I hipe that makes sense.

I assume you are talking of the quanta index which is figured as

Total Amount of Quanta used to pay for cards + ability cost
                        Total number of pillars

So we find that my Quanta Index is 7.86 Which compared to the Original had a Quanta Index of 6.33 which means that mine is slower however because of silence I can completely prevent the use of a card for a Mere 2 Aether Quanta!  So think of it more as just a longer wait for a better ending.  By adding 2 more towers we get 6.875 however you also increase the size of your deck and therefore you still make the chance of pulling a Dragon.  I think that adding towers is a great idea, but even so we know from previous experience that quanta index is still a a theory and even though KevKev gave us "Empirical Evidence" we still have to use some common sense and you usually can figure out what you need.  I hope this helps TDenverFan!

what function do the silences have in this deck?  are they intended to jam a miracle when you are ready to deal killing blow, or to stall a rush deck?  i imagine it feels nice to play them, but could you swap a couple of them for an electrocutor for example (a really awesome aether weapon)

my suggestion

-3 silence
+1 aether tower
+2 electrocutor

its entirely possible some combination of shards of gratitude and phase shield is best.  SoG works amazing with any shield, played smartly
Zombie0 gives 110 percent whenever he's in the arena. He's a team player who delivers both offensively and defensively. He has no idea what a Quantum is.

It's essentially a newer variation of mono-aether.
You stall, stall, and stall some more until your dragons can put out enough damage to take out the AI.
This deck is originally meant to chain phase shields the entire game so that your dragons can put out enough damage to win. The silences, when chained at the start of a match, can completely lock your opponent. If you get lucky, your opponent can't do anything for 5 turns while you pop out :aether dragons.
Ideal hand would be 4x aether tower 2x silence 1x dragon or something like that.
draw tower. 5 towers down, play silence. 9 :aether
draw tower. 1 tower down, play silence. 14 :aether
draw silence. play silence. 18 :aether
draw silence. play dragon.
etc. etc.

You get my point.
Even if that doesn't happen, silence is a powerful card in it's own right.
In terms of quanta production, you don't need to worry about it. The advantage of mono-aether is that you have all the time in the world with your phase shields, meaning you don't need all the quanta to come straight to you.
If anything, take out a silence and add a tower. Essence's Essential Halfblood Farmer uses about the same amount of quanta, but with one extra tower and immortals instead of silences.
