Would It Be Possible to Make a Duo-Water Earth? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=54272.msg1132906#msg1132906
« on: April 13, 2014, 12:10:21 pm »
I have heard in Kong chat that it's not really viable to make a duo-water earth deck, so I created this.

I'm thinking it would be good pillar control (Trident) and somewhat CC(warden) and would become a good damage dealer from SoP, so would this be actually viable (with some changes maybe?) or should I just scrap the idea?

It's a common idea, it's quite viable, and it's actually competitive (This is kind of popular in BL.) Can also work with NT's and a mix of Earth/Water pends. It's plenty possible.

Don't trust Kong.

Every duo is viable. Stupid kong. Only listen to Omega, Dani, mpots, Itr and edc and a few others if you want to be 100% sure of anything. And yes that deck is actually 1 of the better upped decks around atm.

The reason something like this wouldn't be viable is that earthquakes are faster for lock down, especially if you have to wait until at least turn 4+ to start it up.

Antlions work well in decks like these as well since when burrowed, they can unburrow for double the damage. Maybe -2 riders, -1 warden, +3 antlions?

Also, if you see me on kong, trust me too ^^

I was trying it out in lvl 2s and stuff, and I noticed that it is lacking a lot of stalls, but I can't seem to find good stalls from the water and earth element, so should I make it like a trio or maybe add some stone skins?

Also, for some reason, my kong chat died on me.

This is a deck by dragonsdemesne. It's the best implementation of this idea I've found so far. Used to be great on BL until everyone defaulted to ban shards (it's 1-0 for me  :P so 100% winrate).
