Gravity/death/darkness, let's eat some monsters! https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=42136.msg523794#msg523794

Hi,

My original idea was to make a Trio with darkness (steal + Night fall + parasite/devourer, and even voodo maybe), but that didn't works, so I decided to take of Darkness (because I'm not use to create Trio deck)... and it's still to weak. What do you think? Is there anything to do in this idea, with this cards combinaison?

This is the last version of the deck, so without darkness

I just realize that this deck do not contains my first and main idea... :
I wanted to use catapult, but with voodoo doll (I could use poison on them, so poison would be applied a first time and the voodoo, and another time when throwing!). I read in the catapult detail on the wiki that this is spell damage so very interesting to avoid shields (thing that I totally lost in this shitty deck ^^) AND that applies "death effect"(= a creature die) !
Thats why I tried to use gravity with death and darkness, and to take advantage of the death effect.
I completely forget that yesterday and removed dools and catapult...
I found hard to equilibrate 3 elements but I tried to do something like that :

So I do not remember exactly but before making test I prefer to know if this idea could work. I may want to use to much things?
As you can see I've not decided yet which shiled to choose, but on this deck death is less important, so just block to big creatures with the other shield can be an effective
defense with Otyugh.
Soul catcher are important here, it allows me to profit from death element (so vulture, infection, boneyard to feed Otyugh, and maybe the shield) without wasting pillar in this element.

So I'm sorry, but could you make a new analyse  :-[  ;D

Needs. Moar. Focus.
Take out the dragons, the momentums, the gravy shield, and the titan.

Unbuffed Otys (2 momentums do not count as a buff) won't be eating much of anything.

Needs moar focus and definitely more hitting power. You look quanta starved on death because Otyugh won't eat a lot anyway. Gravity Shield is okay for a choice but you also have bonewall, which makes it useless. Not only that but you won't benefit from your vulture a lot 'cause, again, you won't be killing a lotta stuff to actually benefit from it.

My few cents : (You can make any other duo, but going off that you want to keep THIS deck..)

A) Add more momentum and make your deck focus on death quanta rather than on gravity quanta. Gravity Un-upped sucks for attack (and just for a lotta things really..)
B) Take off the Virus. They help but it won't help you a lot in the long run - A buffed up oty is better than a Virus, IMO.
C) Stabilize (is that a word? Sowwy.) your quanta. It looks fairly splashed as of now, it's what it looks like for me. Leave the dragons in there for attacking potential and make use of the otyughs and better quanta to deploy your stallish deck faster.
D) Decide on what you should replace your cards with. No one can tell you what to do or what not to do exactly, you can mod the deck in anyway you wish. Find a balance between Momentum to buff the otyughs and boneyard/bonewalls (I'd prefer more bonewalls to have more chance to draw them) that you like and use it.
E) Last but not least, if you feel like you reached step C correctly, take off the Soul Catchers and fill them in with more useful cards, like another momentum, or a bonewall, or whatever you like really.

(I suggest, again, that you focus more on death. You'll be using more of it than gravity in this, which means that it deserves to be getting more quanta then gravity, specially when you consider you only need 2 gravity to nom with a otyugh per turn.)

Just... some stuff I wanted to say. ^^'
