hi. so i've been thinking about making a pvp deck(upgraded cards).

i'm really inexperienced, but i roughly guessed what cards were common in pvp decks, and tried to figure out what cards from the opponent i want to invalidate and make useless. i guessed that shards of gratitude, permafrost shields and various creature control are probably among the top played cards(at least for rainbows i guess?), so i wanted to try to invalidate all those in one shot.

i deduced the idea of Fractal Ruby(which probably has been invented before?), saving a ruby dragon in my hand with a fractal, then casting 8 - 10(if the opponent has higher max hp) ruby dragons in one turn for the instant kill which the opponent cannot react to with any of his cards.

i quickly found that it would be difficult to get this going, because of the expensive nature of the ruby dragons(96 fire quantum needed to cast 8 rubies in one turn). one way i could lower the mana cost was to use twin universe in conjunction with ruby dragons and a fractal. this has its own problems too.

fast forward, i get sidetracked to build a mono-earth deck. then i start wondering about fractal shrieker. they are cheaper than rubies, but still have good damage/cost ratio. also, although the fractal shrieker deck was less likely to kill in one turn, 4hp survives one fire storm, and the surviving shriekers could possibly be burrowed the next turn to deal the remaining damage.

after trying a version with shards of gratitude for stalling and twin universe for a bigger fractal bomb, i concluded that they were bad for my quantum. the current version just uses diamond shield and 6 granite skins as stall, as well as 2 quicksands for a bit of disruption(also to fill up 30 slots), so that it can get to 72 earth quantum with a shrieker and fractal in hand, allowing it to drop 9 elite shriekers in one turn, which will hopefully end the game within the next 1 to 4 turns. if the opponent has quantum trouble, i can also play a shrieker early and burrow it, unburrowing it when i want to fractal it and start the bomb.

looking for comments on the deck, including how it can be improved and whether it might work in pvp.

ps. i'm still working on the fractal ruby deck :)

in testing it works fine. 8 turns of stalling to build up enough quanta for fractal. i have two copies of fractal because i need to draw one before it's too late, but i should only need to cast one fractal.

or are black hole and other mana drainers common in pvp? i have little experience...

The deck itself is okay, but if the opponent drains your quanta you are out. Also, you're a bit low on the aether quanta - I would either exchange 5 pillars for pends or cut out 1 or even 2 of each spell and add aether pillars/pends.
