Fractal Mind Flayer Deck needs help

The deck is simple. Play dim. shield to stall while you are gathering your fractal mind flayer army with patience. Dry spell to supply  and for mild CC.

Problem : easily out-stalled or out-rushed by other decks. This means the deck has a very limited rush or stall capacity, and the only thing I've got in this deck is the element of surprise (Fractal).

How can I modify it to make it more capable of standing in front of a stall or rush deck ?

because it is cheap ? And it can lobotomize dangerous creatures ? And it happens it use  for ability ?

I think dry spell may not be the best in this deck.
Since you need the quanta as long as you have few creatures. Once dry spell really begins racking up, you wont need much more.
How about flooding instead? or squids/freezes?

I'm not sure. In play testing, half of my fractal'ed mind flayers are played using the  from dry spell. Maybe this means I need more pendulums ?

i like this deck but i think an extra weapon would be good in it

I don't get the mind flayer either. why not use a creature that cost nothing? like a spark? with your sopa down the sparks, that cost nothing will not die and just get bigger. then when you fractal them you can play down as much as you can, because of the zero cost.  or you could use aflatoxin so you mcells can grow and grow! then again those ideas have been used before so if you want something creative don't use these.
