Fractal Denial https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=11965.msg148145#msg148145
« on: August 28, 2010, 08:39:23 pm »
the deck idea is to use fractal to lay down devourers. I know its been used befor. but I also wanted to speed up th eprocess by lowering the amount as close to 30 cards. as well as give some creature control. I just need some help to speed it up.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated

it doesnt have to stick to how it is now. I am willing to go simply dual color. my issue is simply the speed and a lack of control until its at that point. basically I know it needs time build. I just want the machine to get going as quickly as possible

if you want speed then the novas, shields and fire cards are useless, yes its for cc, but you're putting more effort into unnecessary things (for a speed deck) there's actually alot of fast  :earth :darkness decks out there that has alot of quanta control AND are fast (earth mark, devourers, quicksand, gargoyles and liquid shadow). and that ones gives you a chance for EM too

yea I saw those but again. I dont want speed per say. just a faster way to set up the Holy devourer batman. followed by a swarm of vampires

sorry that threw me off, but you don't have to do identical ones... anywho

your best bet would probably be a rainbow if you want to keep it similar, do

1.mark of entropy
2. get upped novas as fast as you can (max those out in the deck)
3. toss in 3 fractals and a couple  :aether towers
4. max ur devourers, put in like 2 eclipses
5. fill your deck with other controlling goodies (deflag, black hole, quicksand) that are cheap so you can put them out fast
6. try and use every element for the goodies, but especially drain life, maybe a mirror shield too? depends on how you balance it. they also don't have to be controlling goodies...purify, with it's new buff can act as a poor man's SoG and a defense to poison. it's really up to you...and that's why you get to test it, not me :) have fun and good luck

thank you. but using your idea could ya maybe post a deck using the cards ya said.. like I stated its a "fun" deck just to get away from the everyday deck you see...

Try this. It's basically an unupped version of Terroking's Pesty FG deck with Pendulums.
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

they're trying not to use a deck that's already made, or similar to

@lordprax, make it yourrself, if i make it its my deck not your's, plus i would never use that myself, thats why i said to i wont test it, just go on trainer

I think im going to ditch the "quicker" version and go for a devourer fractal rain bow deck.. and like I said. try to have an "answer for everything" in it. or as close to it as possible

never mind.. ok so something more like this "yes I know this is all upgraded but this is what I will aim for"

If you are going for a fast deck (especially one powered by supernovas), then fewer cards is better. I would suggest removing the obsidian towers and the aether towers, and adding entropy pendulums with an aether mark instead (this will let you use supernovas faster. 1 upped entropy pendulum means second turn supernovas, 2 means first turn supernovas.) I've never tried that, but it seems like it would work better. I don't think you need obsidian towers because your pests should generate enough darkness quanta (and the first ones will be powered by supernovas). May be a good idea to use discord, because it is great for quantum denial and works well with black hole (and you will have excess entropy quanta at some point, after you play your supernovas). It may be good to consider a fog shield instead of the mirror shield , and add some kind of attacking creature (seriously, relying on 2 siphon lifes to kill an opponent means you need to generate 500+ darkness quanta. I know it's possible, but it's a waste of time). Maybe a vampire, or gargoyle or something?

I haven't had much experience with these kinds of decks, but that's just something to think about

edit: if you take my advice and add entropy pendulums, butterfly effect is also a good choice
