Which element best counters Aether or Mindgate decks? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=21594.msg276414#msg276414

I'm really struggling with the Mindgate stall decks in the top 50... what's a good, consistent way of obliberating Dimensional Shields and destroying Mindgates?

Mono Darkness with devourers and steals. Almost can't lose to mono Aether. Now if you are talking about Rainbow Mindgate you can play Black Holes in some sort of deck.

Fire or Darkness.

An Immolation rush with Deflagrations is good, since a more classic mono-Aether with Mindgates doesn't have base creatures to target with Immolate to play the Fire creatures it Mindgates from you.

Entropy for Discord and BE, Fire for Explosions, Gravity for Black holes and is needed for pulverizer, and the icing is pulverizer which is constant smashing of the mindgates/shields

I learned this one from facing Decay:  Fractal Pests.  Run a :darkness Mark with :aether Pends; basically it won't be producing any :darkness because it doesn't have access to your mark.  After that the setup is pretty standard:  Devourers/Pests, Vampires, Fractals, Nightfall/Eclipse and Steals for anything that manages to get played.  The T50 deck will continue to copy cards it doesn't need and can't play while you set up unperturbed.  Unfortunately this deck isn't exactly practical for the rest of the decks you'll face in T50...

Anything with only pends should work fine against a mindgate deck, I reccomend a Fractix if anything.

Um... Who said it had to be mono?
Pendulum slow MindGate decks down enough even when they are not going mono.

Sorry bout that, this slipped me up XP

Anyway, I pack in QTs just for that reason; creatureless Firebolt decks are a pain with my Mindgate deck XP
