Hey guys, I'm brand new to the game but am loving it so far. Initially I started with a life deck and made a frog/poison adrenaline rush. I then went to fire and made a phoenix/dragon rush. Those seemed fun and great for AI3 but I wanted something a little more complicated and interesting. This is my first attempt at creating my own deck...I've had pretty good success with it but I feel like I could hone it to be much more effective.

I have been moving stuff around so I was playing with 35 cards..i'ma have to comb through it to find what I added.

Basically it was a rush scorpion poison early and then sit back and watch them stack themselves to death.

Only issues I was having was either just bad early draws or rush fire decks with permenant cc.

Let me know what you think and how to improve upon it!

First off, it would help to know which of the following you want: Speed, Control, or stall.
If you want speed, shrink it down to 30 cards.
control and stall, you may want to balance the quanta usage out. You seem extremely heavy on time.

Yea the way I originally designed it was to be a stall deck. Use the scorp+blessing to get in an early poison. Then the sanctuaries/sundials to stay healthy.

I wasn't sure how much to into light quantum since I really don't have all that much that uses it. Also at the moment games are always very close since I do not have much else besides the poison damaging them.

With time decks should I put some more cards in there? Since I can draw additionals all the time.

Here, i'll personally toss some stuff together for you, just wait a few.

This version is basically just a slightly more focused version of the original.  Get out the combo faster due to 6 less cards and more Sundials (=more drawing power), stall just like you're used to.  If you only have 1 Eternity, replace the second with a Reverse Time. :)

Good luck!

Seems to me that your basic idea is blessed scorpions, rush + healing version,
I can give you some advice: First of all, get rid of the random cards - the Devoian Dragon and the Deja Vu. Useless cards in this deck. So, we need to cut it down to 30 cards. Which cards isn't that important? You don't need the Sundials, or the Hourglasses when the deck is cut down. With some other, small adjustions, we get this deck:

5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lh 5lh 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5rt 5rt 5rt 5rt 5rt 5rt 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 8pq

This is a Light focused scorpion deck. Sanctuaries to keep you alive, Blessings and Scorps... Duh.
In the start of a game, try to get the Dune Scorpion + Blessing combo out as fast as posible. That means no Sanctuaries before the opponent is poisoned. Because we get out the most cards the 3 first rounds, we want to poison our opponent before that. THEN start playing Sanctuaries, and bless your other scorps. There is many other variants of this, as omegareaper showed you. Good luck, and happy poisoning :)

If you like the idea of running Light/Time with Dune Scorpions, you might want to try a Bedouin's Prayer variation.  Here's one that's a bit closer to what you seem to want with this deck:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lj 5lj 5lj 5lj 5lj 5lj 5lk 5lk 5lk 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rh 5rh 5rh 5rh 5rh 5rh 5rk 5rk 5rk 5ro 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rt 5rt 5rt 5rt 5t2 5t2 8ps

The kicker here is that your draws will be more consistent - instead of two kinds of pillars, you're only looking for a single Deja Vu and Luciferin.  The idea is to get Dejas out, then copy them, then Luciferize them - both to provide :light and to fuel Hope.  Hope is a more effective shield than Procrastination in the late-game, which is what you'll be looking toward if you want to run Dune Scorpions.  I'd go without the Sanctuaries if you run this, as Luciferin is probably enough to last you until you get Hope out... and then until your opponent is dead.  Watch out for Thorn Carapace and Fire Shield - those cards alone defeat this deck.  If you face those, you will live a bit longer if you can manage to Bless your Deja Vus before copying them.  If you manage an early Eternity and start seeing excess Time quanta, you can rewind a Deja Vu you've already copied and replay it to produce another copy.

In general, when forming a dual-element deck, think first about what combos you want to produce.  In the above case, there are two combos: Blessing - Dune Scorpion, and Deja Vu - Luciferin - Hope.  You want the combos to be fairly stable and simple; combos involving more than three cards are inadvisable for a general-purpose deck, though they may offer some help if you know the deck you're going to face (like predicted False Gods).

Don't just pick cards because they seem useful.  Think about what your deck is supposed to do overall and plan for that specifically.  If a card seems like it would only help a small percentage of your games, ditch it.  And as dual-element decks run two types of quanta, you're going to need more reliable pillar draws than in a mono - your deck is far too heavy on both Light and Time to be reliable, especially with Eternity and Hourglasses in there.
