First card to upgrade in a beginners rainbow deck? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=1817.msg15779#msg15779

Hello =],

I've been playing on an off for a few months (constantly disliking my deck and restarting my account so many times you may cringe), and I've finally found a deck I like and have enough coins (thanks to winning an upgraded card I had no use for) to upgrade my first card ^_^! Last time I did this it turned out I upgraded a card that backfired on me in the end (dissipation shield) so I thought I would seek some advice =]. Here is my deck thus far:

Quantum pillar x 16
Time factory x 10
Arsenic
Otyugh x 2
Pulverizer
Forest spirit
Empathetic bond x 3
Rain of fire
Lava golem x 2
Firefly queen x 2
Deja vu x 3
Procrastination
Golden hourglass x 5
Devonian dragon
Anubis x 3
Sundial x 4
Steal x 4

I've also won myself a shard which is sitting idly if quite contently in my not-deck.

This deck's working out ok for me at the moment; I'm getting a low but fair win ratio against HBs at the moment (maybe around 25%), but if you have any suggestions for things I should change and replace I'd be more than happy to take those on too =].

Thanks very much in advance!

Imi

Honestly you should either just make a mono-aether or perhaps SG's un-upgraded rainbow. I've tested mono-aether and it works well against half-bloods. But if your stubborn and want to keep that deck (it's not very good but no one is forcing you to change it) then upgrade the otyugh. They start out at 5 health so you can eat a lot more stuff from the beginning.

Get rid of all the time factories, get rid of one steal, get rid of at least one empathetic bond, no need for deja vus, get rid of procrastinaion, remove 1-2 golden hourglasses, upgarde one golden hourglass, replace anubis with Quintessence, add 2 bonewall and 2 boneyard, add 1-2 fallen elves.
