Water/Earth Help https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=6795.msg73131#msg73131

I've been working on a water/earth deck, and it seems to work pretty well, but it's not that fast and shields/weapons/permanents (besides pillars) are a big hassle. Does anyone have suggestions for this deck?

Code: [Select]
58o 592 592 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i9 5i9 5ib 5ib 5ic 5ic 5id 5id 5id 5id 5id 5id
I am currently using ice bolts in place of the arctic squids because I don't have them...

Oh, and I forgot to add. Mark is  :earth.

Strategy: Ice Dragons for damage, arctic squid/freeze/ice bolt for creature control, trident for pillar control. Enchant your shields and weapon.

If you want it un-upped, funny enough, toadfish does great damage

Code: [Select]
5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i9 5i9 5ib 5ib 5ic 5ic 5ic 5id 5id 5id 5id 5id 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie

This deck doesn't need that much damage, and I don't think 13 sapphire pillars are going to be enough to supply the dragons...why'd you take out all the earth cards? P.A is good against permanent control (maybe just one) and the stone pillar helps generate more quanta to supply the unupped trident.

The PA is worthless, really, unless you're fighting against False Gods. You don't have many permanents to steal, except for the trident. Most other decks that have steals, won't be able to even use the Trident. I would drop the PA, and the Trident isn't really that useful, except in early game. In late game, it might slow them down a bit, but still isn't good enough. You probably won't draw that stone pillar before you lose/win because this deck doesn't fight against False Gods or AI5, which takes longer.

What about the ice shield?
It'll be a disaster if the enemy steals it...

The trident is there so that you hopefully draw it in the early turns so that you can deny his total quanta and control the field with octopuses. Would be better if you had permanent destruction, but...

Plus, it's annoying. I like using earthquake in PVP  :P

13 pillar is definitely enough to power the dragns, very widely tested with unupped deck myself

3 trident to ensure an ealy one, and like someone mentioned, even it gets stolen as long as it has not earth, you are fine

And of coz, learn to not play the ice shield if you know a steal is headed your way

trident cost + enchante artifact is simply tooooo high for your mark to keep up
And waiting for that single pillar to aid you is very inconsistent

Alright, thanks.
What would the upgraded version look like?
I suppose you would exchange the toadfish for abyss crawlers?

Yes, in almost all situations, I would take Abyssal Crawlers over Toadfish.
