Elite Charger Themed Deck - Bronze and Silver Arenas https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=54154.msg1131290#msg1131290
« on: March 29, 2014, 04:08:53 am »
This is my first venture into upped decks. I decided to go with elite charger because of its overall strength, and I figured there would be several decks I could use it in. I've come up with two decks that both work about the same way. I was hoping for advice on how to make these decks work better for the bronze and silver arenas.

Took away the mitosis deck, couldn't see it working out in the future.
I took andretimpa and CrockettRocket's advice to build this. Tested it in AI-3 a tiny bit and it had a 70% win rate, which should probably be much better considering it has upped cards. I am interested in adding black holes and/or lightnings for quantum and creature control. I'd also like to take out some fractals, but am not sure if that'd make it too difficult to draw them.

Also, do you guys think chargers might work better in a different style of play other than spamming them?

Thank you guys for all your help already!

7 and 8 non pillar cards aren't really good for decks. You need to get one of each to do anything. That risks being rushed, or denied. Get at least 4-6 more non pillar cards in both.

Alright, I revised the aether one a little. It seems to work a little better. I'm still having troubles with CC, but I'm not quite sure if Quintessence is really worth it.

I'm iffy on the mitosis. Throwing this out as a suggestion (The Sapphires are in place of elites that I haven't upgraded yet.)

On your chargertal. Switch to only aether pendulumns (or make them your main quanta source if you are scared of EQ). 15 pendulumns should more than enough. This frees 5 card slots in your deck. To fill them I'd recommend 1 dim, 2 fractals (for a better chance) and 2 silences (great right before a fractal and if you time well and have them in your hand you can play another after the fractal). You can still swap one or two pendulumns for more fractals/chargers/silence without great problems.

As andretimpa mentioned with the single quanta source, it does stabilize the quanta generation and makes it much more consistent. Changing the mitosis deck to life mark with only gravity pendulums would be significantly faster to get chargers out.

Alright I'll try that out, thank you for the advice!

If you silence more often then EQ becomes less and less of a problem. I would say -1 aether pendulum +1 silence. Silences can also be played strategically like against mono aether and against sosacs/sundials chains.

Well aether pendulums generate quantum, so in a sense yes and the context I used it in would only make sense under two conditions: 1.) There is no card literately called "quantum pendulum" 2.) Only one type of pendulum was used in the deck.

P.S. I edited my post to say aether pendulum.

5 :gravity makes Charger expensive to run with Fractal or Mitosis. It's not impossible, but I would've tried something else personally. Obviously you want to stick to use Chargers (fair enough, they're pretty good) but how about gravity Dragons with Parallel Universe, instead of Fractal? :gravity has good buffs to make the most of PU.

Colossal dragon would not be my first choice for Pugons.
