Platinum is definitely adjusting to Splat - I'm noticing that my Splat deck is struggling a great deal more than it used to.

Forgive me for throwing this question out here, but I've not seen a decent explanation for where those ridiculously high electrum rewards come from when you EM in Platinum. I had one myself that was something like 3K. I didn't notice how highly my opponent was ranked, but at the same time, the only equation I've managed to find for electrum after winning an arena match didn't seem to take into account the ranking of your opponent.

I'm sure I'm missing something, somewhere....if anyone can point me in the right direction, I owe you a doughnut.

If you win against someone in the top 10 rankings, the electrum is doubled. And if the one who's at rank 1, I think it's doubled again. If you add the EM doubling to that, it can turn out to be quite big.
It is the greatest mystery of all...

Hm. I'm pretty sure I wasn't playing the #1 ranked deck, so maybe there's a bigger bonus for exceeding 100 HP with an EM win as well. Even if it was deck #2 I played, it'd be kind of hard to reach 3K without there being some other factors at work.

The amount you win is based on your current hp, and you also get a bonus on top of this if you get an em, I believe the bonus is the 100 hp amount again, 1 hp is half the prize, and it scales upward based on that. At least, if I remember the prizes right. its been a while since I paid attention to the exact numbers when farming with splat.
