I'm trying to build a straight pharaoh deck that can compete against Halfbloods and Silver arena, but it keeps getting stomped before it can get rolling (so far I'm 0 wins 6 losses against HB's and 0 wins 5 losses against silver):

how can I modify this so that it can either survive longer until my SoR'd pharaohs come online or so that I can bring those online faster?

replace gravity pendulums with time factories
mark of gravity
-eternities or RT, pick one or the other
You can also consider adding nova to bring out shards easier
cut down to 30 cards.

I can see everything but losing the catapult.  how else do I deal with big shields?

Test it and see! Personally, I would even get rid of eternity since unless they're really useful for denial, they don't do much. They're very expensive and will slow down your deck.

ok I've tried it both with and without the anubis, and with the anubis it feels just as fast plus way extra cc resistant, so I'ma keep him.  Any advice on what to upgrade first?

wait wut. Oh. You can use SoR on anubis, but really, besides that, I don't really feel it's that good.
Upgrades for this deck would probably go
pharo-->SoR-->time factories
