This is my version. Streamlined for consistency. Of course this kind of deck are always very situational.

...if he wanted to build a Devtal... he would have just built a Devtal......

The title of this thread is Vampire/Fractal.

......
although the fractal devourers then fractal vampires is a better deck, it isn't the deck he is trying to make.

Having both Dusk Mantles and Dim Shields seems slightly redundant, if you fractal vampires fast enough though you won't even have to ward off damage since you can heal it back quick, in such a case you'd want to generate as much quanta as fast as possible and fractal a vampire. Once the first row is filled with vampires it takes good shields/mass creature control (rain of fire/plague) to still stand a chance against them.

You could do with for example this:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5up 5up 5uq 5uq 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 5ut 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 622 622 622 622 8pu
Simple yet efficient deck that gets out numerous vampires fast, it has 4 instead of 3 fractals to ensure you draw one early, if you'd want to upgrade it Something like this might work:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t9 7t9 7ta 7ta 7td 7td 7td 7td 7td 7um 7um 7um 7um 7um 7um 7um 7um 80i 80i 80i 8pu
It has even more quanta generators since upgraded Vampires have a significantly higher cost. You won't need Fractals as fast either since you can't pay the quanta for that many Vampires fast enough.

Though both are focused sheerly on getting as many vampires on the field as fast as possible (what a Fractal/Vampire deck would usually want :)).

Hi Norby, fractalling vampire has proven that it is a great combo so the main idea is there.  Most of those deck won't start by fractalling vampires though, they will fractal devourers/pest once or twice to make sure you're opponent  has zero quanta so he can't play anything, he can only watch you play.  Then you have all the time to put a vampire into play (be sure to always have one in hand, don't put em out on the filed, you won't wanna run out of em or look for em while you take damage).  Also, using pendulums will allow you to avoid an unlucky hand where you get no aether or darkness.  You seem to like steal very much and I understand why, it is a great card, but with a fractal deck and you're opponent having the chance to play nothing, what do you really need to steal?  If he gets an early weapon, then he will sure do a couple of damage, but you will take that back when you fractal the vamps, as for the shields, only the titanium shield will slow you a ton, but then again you will come on top anyway.  If you can improve other cards, I suggest to start with the vampires first.
It could look something like this:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5uo 5ur 5ut 5ut 5ut 61q 61q 622 622 622 622 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 7ta 8pt

Personally, I see no point in locking your opponent down then using vampires unless they already have creatures out, unupped vamps + nightfall take a total of 34 attacks to beat ai3, just going vamp mad straight away seems more sensible unless you want really long EM games where the EM doesnt make up for slower games.

i run a very fast, very pure variation. the darkness cards require very little quanta, so i prefer to use the (a)ether mark in order to get out fractal early and often..

my short-term goal is to upgrade all my pendulums so i can spam devourers on turn 1.

6 x dev, 4 x vamp, 2 x night fall, 4 x frac, and the rest are pendulums

I agree with TheonlyrealBeef; i think that you're already demanding alot of aether quanta from fractal, and dimshields will just make it slower.

3 things about the deck you last posted.

First off if you are running a fractal deck you need more quanta gen for aether. So you naturally need to run aether mark and run darkness pends/aether pillars. Adding in dim shields just cuts down the the quanta your going to be using for fractal since you drain all your aether quanta after you use fractal anyways. Dusk Mantle should be enough to ward off most attacks while you heal it back. You could switch out the dim shields for 2 vamp daggers.

Secondly I would make the pillars and pends 50/50 split which means -1 pillar. the darkness quanta gen is less needed than the aether quanta. Adding in Devourers will help your darkness quanta gen.

Thirdly you should be running 4 fractals not 3. This allows you to get more either devourers out or vamps. This shouldnt kill your throw down rate at all.
