the cloaks can help a lot against certain spells etc...
and to anser funplay i am thinking in pvp2 so cloaks coud be healpfull right?
ok, pvp2 then...i have to admit that i have very few experience with pvp2, so my comments maybe off...anyway:
the deck concept looks like you going for quanta denial - deny your enemy his quanta by destroying his towers or suck it away with pests...but imho the decks lacks focus...
i see some potential problems with this idea in pvp2, but again i can only judge pvp2 by the recommended decks in the forums:
1) I have the impression that most pvp decks are focussed on themselves...mostly rush decks. They some amount of PC and CC, but not an awfull amount. The second category are actually denial decks to shut down rushs...
2) The majority of pvp decks i saw can play with quite few quanta, using some effective low cost cards and also using supernovas and/or cremation.
I think your quanta denial is not focussed enough...only 3 quicksands adn 5 pests are not enough for a complete denial...if you really want to go for this idea, you need
more quicksands. you absolutely need them in your starting hand.
even with 6 quicksands and 6 pests the best thing you will achieve, is to slow some decks down...so you need some really heavy punch to finish them while they are denied...i am not sure, if gargoyles are strong enough for this. if your denial worked, you will have only few gargoyles on the table, as you needed to play some cards to achieve the denial.
furthermore i think the liquid shadows, the cloaks and the protect artifact are off...think about it:
1) which permanents do you really, really need to protect -> against which kind of deck will protect artifact save your life?
2) against which spells/decks will cloaks really turn the tide?
3) when will the liquid shadows win your game...i mean you have 4, so they are essential to your strategy???
if you still want to try a denial deck like this, you might want to take a look here:
