Hi , if i pick 43 cards for my deck , why do i only get to have 33 when i play ?

Also, regardless of whether you win or lose the coin toss when starting a game, there will be at least 7 cards in your hand. What I don't get is how you have a difference of 10

I am not sure why it would be 33 when you play, however it shows how many are left in your deck, so  since you ahve 7 in hand, your deck size in battle may look like cards in your deck - 7 at the start

This, and the starter decks have 40 cards, not 43

That, and the starter decks are terrible.
That, and 40 card decks are really bad without card draw.

That aside, I'd assume you're just reading it wrong. A 43 card deck should start the game with 36 cards in its deck.
The only way for a 43 card deck to read 33 by the end of turn one (Not even the start) is for it to play 3 precognitions on that turn.

This, and the starter decks have 40 cards, not 43

Also, note that your card collection shows ALL of your cards.  Your deck is only the cards you assign to your deck from your collection.  I think here the situation you are experiencing is likely:

- 43 total cards in your collection
- 40 card starter deck is unedited so your deck is 40 cards
- in battle, you have 40 card deck total minus your opening hand + cards-drawn (initially, going first, this is 40 - 7 = 33 remaining in-deck).
