One type of deck you could try in terms of control is a Earth/Darkness duo that focuses on denying the opponent of any quantum so they can't play cards.

The above deck is a deck that is based on decking your opponent out, with Stone Skins and the Vampire Dagger to help you get an EM. Iridium Wardens and Basilisk Blood handle creatures, while Pests and Earthquake deals with quantum supply.  Steal handles any pesky permanents and can even let get a few good ones like SoGs from the opponent to speed up healing or get a better shields.

It also helps if you try to make the deck in question against a specific opponent - for example the above deck is probably best for AI3 and PvP1. If you're going for an Arena based deck, you'll probably want to add more damage sources since it's unlikely you'll deck your opponent out.

Possible Mods:
- +Vampire Dagger , -Titanium Shield - Makes your only source of damage less vulnerable to PC, although you'll have to steal an opponent's shield.
- Add Drain Life - In the long run, the Pests will eventually generate a lot of unused quantum, so you also try adding Drain Life to use on the opponent for damage and healing. I would suggest removing a few Earth cards (2 Earth Pillars and 2 BBs for 4 Drain Life is one possible mod). This causes your quantum to become a bit more tight early on though.

Try playing with this deck a bit, and then customizing it to fit your playstyle.

Have fun!

There are many different ways to look at control, and while Earth doesn't have the PC in a mono element sense the same way Fire or Darkness do, it can do so many other things that can put serious pressure on your opponent.  I will make one caveat about this deck, it is designed for AI3 use, I didn't design it for PvP (although it can be modified to do so).  One of my favorite aspects of control is to not only limit what your opponent can play, but to then render what they play useless, while still putting pressure on them through the use of hard hitting creatures.

The point of this deck is to get out a Trident and then pound your opponent's quanta quickly and repeatedly.  The Basilisk Bloods and Iridium Wardens are there to take away whatever creatures your opponent may actually be able to play around your constant barrage against their quanta supply.  The one thing this deck lacks is PC, and weapons can be somewhat problematic, so this is where the Ice Bolts come in.  Obviously, they can be used for CC if needed, but ideally they will target the opponent to either deliver a killing blow or to freeze a problematic weapon.  Oh, and in addition to all this, you have the Toadfish and Hematite Golems which provide very nice cost-effective hitters that won't strain your quanta supply much, if at all pounding your opponent's "face".
