Deck Thinning to Run Smother for PvP (CL) https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=26314.msg334740#msg334740

Ok, here's what I have reverted to using, I like how it plays middle/late game; but bad draws or lack of quanta kills it in the early game.

Code: [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u6 717 717 74b 74b 7dm 7do 7do 7gv 7k2 7k6 7k6 7q7 7q9 7q9 7q9 7q9 7q9 7q9 7t9 7t9 80d 80d 80d 80h 80h
I am pretty sure improvements can be made. I went with the Gravity mark due to the Oty cost(s) become more frequent during the game than the rest of the cards. I have drawn hands where I have been quantaless for 8 draws (got all 6 sundails in hand and it made me wish I had a Light mark). Since this is more for PvP/T50 (I want a couple of Pulverisors for this deck and have yet to spin them :(), what would be the best way to thin this deck out?

I would either switch to entropy mark and get to more supernovas in, or remove the super novas for more towers.
If you choose the latter, gravity cost will not be a problem. Except with a bad start or RNG screwed quanta distribution.

change to entropy mark
take out anubis, it's too expensive to be effective and you already have 2 quints, maybe add a third quint instead.
if the fire storm main objective is to lower creature's hp so you can eat it with otyugh, change for a heavy armor, increasing 6 on your otyugh may be more effective than reducing 3 hp on the oppponent creatures
if you have eternity, lobotomizer or eagles eye, use it
take out phase shields and put 2 permafrost shields, diamond shield, jade, dusk, fog, your deck is slow and lacks quanta, so using 6  :aether for a shield that will last only 3 turns once you may need that quanta for quints is not that great of an idea
your deck is not big or fast enough for it to be that useful to have that many sundials, it'd be better to have some SoG and hourglasses instead like 3 of each would be better

Keep in mind, he's trying to make it for pvp, not fake gods.

Just to basically agree with what everyone else said, your quanta problems are probably due to trying to deal with quanta halfway to two different methods. Either (a) go entropy mark with six supernovae, or (b) ditch supernovae altogether in favor of towers. My vote would be for the former, personally.
