Improving Rainbow FG Killer https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=6843.msg73787#msg73787

I was using Scaredgirl Rainbow (almost) unupped deck, and was getting some good results with it. Usually i lost for very specific situations, like waiting 5 turns to get 1 quanta for play oty or some bad luck. But now i looking to improve a bit the deck, without have to upgrade every card, as i don´t have much cash. So i came with this deck:

Code: [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 52n 52r 592 5c6 5c6 5f8 5oj 5ro 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5up 621 621 621 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u6 74b 74b 74b 7gp 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 80d 80d
The upped cards i have or have the money to buy. I tried a Improved Antimatter, and it may be good, it´s very situational. I thougt of maybe put another Rain of Fire in place of a Empathic Bond or a Pulverizer in place of Phase Shield, but any interesting tips should be useful.

Thanks

Now that you're getting upgraded cards I'd say it's time to start slimming your deck down.  I don't think you need both Shards and Bonds for healing.  You could probably get away without the Sundials too.  The smaller your deck, the more consistant it will be.  For example PuppyChow's FG Rainbow (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1748.0.html) is only 34 cards and posts an impressive win percentage.

It may be a good ideia, but i'm used with something like this. I like do have more options in my hand (or deck). Start with a great hand is good, but sometimes it lacks some defense, like the 40 cards version. Another option could be drop one SoG in favor of another Rainf of Fire, or maybe a Sundial for a Pulverizes or Butterfly Effect, if the deck has too much defense.

I'll take out one hourglass, I used to play a 60 card deck, and never found more than 4 useful

pulverizer?

I would add more permanent control, but your deck is quite big already

I would try to make it smaller,

I find it useful to save my deck, and try to start from scratch, it's easier than trying to remove cards one by one

I have seen that everybody suggest to slim the deck, but I don't think so. A large time rainbow is very effective, I think entropy slim rainbow are very dependent on the starting hand, and time rainbow, it's a slower starter, but can survive with bad hands and turn in your favor very disfavourable situations.

I suggest to put the pulverizer, and take out one feral bond. Feral bond is useful in last game, so having two of them it's only needed if you don't have shards of gratitude. With six shards of gratitude, you can take out both empatic bonds.

Also if you add the pulverizer, you can take out the steal, well this is optional.

Two quintaessences are usually enough if you play with common sense.

Also having another rain of fire is ok. It helps in a wide variety of situations.

I strongly suggest that you consider a smaller  :entropy rainbow after you have obtained another 2 supernovas. Perhaps a 40-card deck with 4 hourglasses, 4 sogs, 1 antimatter, 6 supernovas, 3 otys, 3 quints, 4 sogs, 1 improved antimatter and say 10 pillars (fill in the rest yourself) should serve you reasonably well. Not much need to up a 5th hourglass or the 2 phase shields--go for the supernovas first and then towers to make your quanta flow as efficient as possible so you can minimize the amount of cards spent on them, then you can start looking at tweaking the rainbow to your liking.
