I really like the idea of this being a strategy game, so I thought I would take a stab at making a deck that can win without the opponent seeing it coming. I am not swimming in electrum so I did not upgrade all of the cards, and I made use of a few that I already had upgraded. Basically I am looking to see what you guys have to say about my deck idea. (comments/criticisms appreciated)
The deck is intended for any opponent besides false gods. Why? The deck can only do 100 damage.
How to use it: use hourglasses to draw cards as fast as you can. When you have all of the key cards, play the Voodoo Doll and then these cards in this exact order on the doll: Two Basilisk Bloods>Four Holy Lights>One Holy Flash>Twin Universe. That is 100 unblockable damage to the opponent. And yes, I realize that there are nine key cards, and your hand can only hold eight. So when playing, you may need to place the doll and a basilisk blood on it a turn before you do the giant combo. Mainly this deck is a race to draw your entire deck before the opponent can kill you.
This deck works amazingly well against t50 and PVP2. In PVP2 I won about 75% of the games. I really like this deck, and I am very satisfied that it turned out as well as it did. I cannot wait to upgrade all of the cards and try putting in some Precognitions or Sundials.
Downsides: Right now, it is set to give and use exact quantities of quanta. Devourers, Scramblers, and Black Holes can all screw with the deck. Though, I have won against a decks with Scramblers and Devourers on occasion. Another thing, it normally takes me around eight turns to win with this deck. That is a very long time to stay undefended. That means that this deck is susceptible to rushes. Also cards that increase max life points of the opponent throw off the entire deck and make it useless since this deck does 100 damage and only 100 damage. Ohyes, and of the nine key cards, if you get all of the other eight cards besides the doll, then you are forced to discard one and then ruins the deck. So, 1/9 chance that you will fail before the match even starts. Also, if you are thinking too fast or just a bit careless, you might place the wrong card or make a simple mistake that compromises the entire deck, so be a bit careful. Being Silenced last turn would be equally devastating.
Now for the good news... Your opponent watches you not place a single monster for eight turns, then suddenly takes all 100 damage in an instant, Not even knowing what hit them. It makes you feel good.
Because all of the damage is done in a one move, any healing that the opponent does is useless. Decks with Otyughs, Scarabs, Mindgates, and other cards that rely on you are really screwed.
In the deck's current state, here is a list of cards that cannot or do not need to be upgraded: Nova's, Voodoo Doll, and Four Holy Lights.
And cards that should be or need to be upgraded: One Holy Flash, Two Aether Pendulums, and Two Basilisk Bloods.
First upgrades that I advise but are not necessary would be the Time Pillars and the Hourglasses.
