There are a couple of things you can do with Aether/Fire, but it's best to focus on one combo.
For example:

It's a very simple deck that actually works. Play shields when you're getting damaged too much, play bolts on the opponent once you have enough Fire quanta for a one turn kill. With the deck cut down to 30 cards, it can actually pull out the cards it needs in time, especially the Dimensional Shields. You'll see that most of the time, the shield chain will not break if you start chaining them at the 18 card mark. And your sole win condition, the fire bolts, will actually get drawn much faster.
Common question: "But what if I am against momentum/deflagration/mirror shield/etc?"
Yes, that's actually a valid point, but if you try to extend the deck too much to try to counter everything, you might actually -lose- to everything because you're not getting the right draws! Maybe you can try to fit in a dragon/phoenix and a fractal in the deck for an alternate win condition, but don't dilute the deck too much.

There should be a lot more in the archives. There's a trainer to help you test decks, if you can't buy them yet:

PS: There are decks dedicated to stalling that pack more than 30 cards, but those will usually have some permanent protection and healing. Aether/Fire is not the best for that, but one of them paired with the right element will make a potent stall.
