Swallowing my pride, i am forced to concede defeat at building my very own flying weapon deck. my goal was to create a flying rainbow, using crusaders to bolster my (to my young elemental eyes) impressive weapon collection.
what follows i have dubbed my "crusadin' across the universe" series of decks, before resigning my idea to specialized weapon decks (day traitors and flying titans, notably, although i'm eyeing eagle's eye, too)
the general idea revolves around: CC shield (fire), flying a weapon, endowing a crusader, EB for heal (+ staff and stiletto), PC with pulvy (and
bob the builder hammer sader), and of course my CC crusade (OE, sniper sader, and my trusty mind flayers)
V1: le meh, it's a newbie deckbuilding attempt. cute, but inefficient.
V2: *cue labrador in a lab coat in a lab* "i have no idea what i'm doing"
V3: oddly enough, my best results for this deck
V4 starts aiming for day traitors, a pseudo-vader-sader if you will:
V5: you see V3? yup, it was better...
V6: the deck up to this point was too slow, so i added sundials... biiiiig difference
V7: starting here, i looted my first lobo, thus removing the need for my trusty mind flayers, and yet arose more problems than were solved...
V8: this is where i start to show some common sense: 40 cards, so ok, i suppose, yet such a headbanger to get to work...
i was thinking that using all the weapons in the game (except for eternity and trident, which i didn't have, still don't for trident) would be awesome, and giving me everything i crave. except... it doesn't work like that. V3 was stable enough to grind AI3 (we're talking 75+%wins), but got destroyed in AI4 and even bronze league.
I know the old adage "try to do everything, fail at everything", but it's still very frustrating to have so much potential and yet always rely on the same stuff... curse you, metagame!
if it works, it destroys everything, even EM'ing with ease aether and fire (my most feared elements). all i'm looking for is more stability and maybe be able to tackle something beefier than AI3.
this deck has been a very much loved thorn in my side since i've begun playing, and truth be told i've not looked through the forum archive for this kind of deck, i guess i really want it to be MY personnal "failure", so sorry if somebody has a working version that i overlooked.
quick notes: i don't own trident yet, i do own eternity, pulvy's upgraded, and i have no shards whatsoever, so scrap that suggestion...
if anyone has any suggestions to help my poor man's crusade, PLEASE oh please post them here
thanks in advance
