Crying Elements
When I was lurking in chat, I saw an inspirational sentence:
Quote
[21:46:29] Jocko: Crying to your mammy?
Which inspires me to the whole series of decks, using Nymph Tears as the main strategy. :)

Disadvantages:
  • They are not fully optimized, feel free to edit them to fit your taste.
  • Some of them often have quanta issues.
  • Can lose to AI3s
Advantages:
  • Fun :)
  • Using the full potential of the Nymphs.
  • Let player without Nymphs to enjoy the game with the most rare card in the game (well, alomost) :D
In this series, there are 11 decks, one for each element. You may ask where is the missing one? You will see below. ;)

 :death Crying Mummy(ft. Vulture)

Originally contains only Mummy for offence, and Nymphs to control. But it turns out to be too slow, so I added some vultures. This is the only deck that contains more than one creature

 :entropy Crying Abomination

Deck import code : [Select]

Abominations are solid attackers. Combining with Nymphs/Discord, it should be an easy win if your opponent has no early CC.

 :gravity Crying Armagio

:gravity Nymphs are always OP. After denial, you can watch your Armagio to take damage, or accelerating without obstacle.

 :earth Crying Shrieker

:water/ :earth? Tridents ftw ;D Nymphs can act as CC bait here.

 :life Crying Spirit

:life is a rush. There are a few options here: Spirits, Frogs, or Scorpions. I chose Spirits because they are more flexible. You can grow them to 3|3 + adrenaline for max damage, or just continue to grow them if you don't have an early Nymph.

 :fire Crying Phoenix

I believe certain member will love this deck... :fire Nymph itself is very versatile. If you have two of these out there are no worries about opponent creatures. They can boost themselves for the final blow. Also :fire has PC, together with the undead Phoenixes, simply win.

 :water :light Crying Crawler

Deck import code : [Select]
5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i6 5i6 5i6 5i6 5i6 5i6 5i8 5i8 5i8 5i8 5i8 5i8 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5lh 5lk 5lk 5lm 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 8pp

When I was thinking the creature that goes with :light, it must be a vanilla creature to benefit from :light Nymph's ability. Then I found that it will go well if I combine :water with :light, as there is no point to run mono :water. This deck obviously can only focus on stalling, therefore it has to have 40 cards to include a large quanta supply for both :light (Luciferins) and :water (Bolts)

 :air Crying Wyrm
Where would this mysterious link take me? (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,27403.0.html)

A whooping 50-card deck. The setup is definitely not fast, but once you survive the early attacks, Nymphs + Hourglasses will give you god speed, with Eternity as control. This is the only deck that I include Nymph Queens, as I expect there will be excess :water quanta. Also, :time Nymph itself is a hard hitter. Who doesn't love spamming Nymphs? :P

 :darkness Crying Gargoyle
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5uo 5up 5up 5ur 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 606 8pp

Not a very convincing one. The only advantage is steal, and that :darkness can lobo and kill.

 :aether Crying Dimension
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61u 61u 621 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 8pp

This is the only deck that doesn't contain any creature. One reason is that :aether Nymph hits hard.  :aether is all about dimension, so what you have to do is put the creatures and yourself in another dimension. Pretty much the same strategy with mono :aether.

So...this is it. I hope everyone will enjoy and have fun playing the decks. Any feedback is welcomed. :)

I don't really have a whole lot to say besides "awesome".

I am a big fan of the nymph's tears card in general, and I actually considered doing something pretty similar to this project a couple weeks ago. I'm rather glad to see that I can just use this thread, honestly.

Have you tried making an unupped jezebel? That's the only thing this thread is missing that I can think of.

edit: Okay, one other suggestion. While I'm confident that the nymph queens would be an improvement in the time deck, I would say that in the spirit of the project (letting players without nymphs play with them), you should pull them out . Possibly throw in a couple of water pillars to be teared to get the same effect.

Nice work. Let me suggest a few things...

Crying mummy: Its good, no changes I can think of off the top of my head.
Crying Abomination: -3 Mutation, +1  :entropy Pend, +1 Ice Shield, +1 Abomination.
Crying Armagio: Nice idea, seems to work. Looks like a bit too many pends but because you need to keep using gravity for black hole...
Crying Shrieker: YES! A deck that uses trident =) Looks good, maybe -1 pillar +1 Shrieker.
Crying Spirit: Standard Spirit rush with some nymphs. -1-2  :life pend +1-2 Forest Spirit.
Crying Pheonix: Fire nymph as CC looks good. Hmm... Just thought of something like... rage potioning the ashes. Might be fun.
Crying Crawler: Looks... Really weird. Im going to try that one sometime. Is it too slow?
Crying Wyrm: What Jappert said.
Crying Ghost: Looks fine. Maybe -1 Hourglass +1 GotP?
Crying Gargoyle: Really doen't look too great. But really, Dark Nymph alone kinda sucks.
Crying Dimensions: Good.

I really liked looking at these, good work =)

Thank you for all the ideas ;D

For :time, Nymph Queen can be replaced by :water pillars I guess. Actually it may even be a better idea.
For :entropy, mutations are actually good CC. You can even mutate small creatures to Abominations, then antimatter.

But then I didn't do much testing on each deck, so feel free to try your idea out.  :)

This is amazing! Too bad there aren't more cards related to all elements differently. For Time I would switch a couple pendulums to Water. I really like the light one the best because it made me go look closer after I saw Hope and no direct power.

Mono light (not counting tears) would actually be rather effective with photons and dragons.

Possibly quite effective actually. I may have to go build that and take it for a spin.

edit: When I say "quite effective" I mean "gets owned by anything with a tiny bit of CC".

Me like it!!
Nice idea my friend, allways wanted to try some tears-decks, also very organized work. I'll try some of the decks tonight :)
I allways loved fun decks....if you dont have fun while playing and just grind, you get tired after a while and might even quit the game. That sux and I'm not letting it happen.
Good job again :)

Nymph's Tears are always fun. Nice series.

Here's a very flexible version of Weeping Spirits I've enjoyed using in the past:

A very lame piece of help. This is just for etiquette. Please either import a deck code without the mark or after you copy and paste, delete the last code in the deck code to get rid of the mark. This will remove the extra question mark card.

Otherwise, some good thinking. Nymph tears give the game more fun for sure.

I actually prefer leaving the mark in, because it is easier to copy the code w/o worrying about wrong mark.
You probably haven't heard people complaining about how they lost a tournament because they didn't have the right mark
This is because the code now preserves the mark.

This comment is on the "Crying Ghost" deck:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5io 5io 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rj 5rj 5rj 5rl 5rl 5rl 5rl 5rl 5rl 5ro 5ro 5ro 5ru 5ru 5ru 5ru 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 8pp

Making a fat deck with lots of Hourglasses with Nymph's Tears to make creatures that... draw even more cards, now that is something I can get behind. ;D
However with this build I see the danger of getting outrushed pretty easily as you have little early game defense. I kicked out some of the Nymph's Tears as you don't really need much more than one Nymph to win. I added Freezes which are nice because they are so cheap and can protect you very quickly. Of course they only hold for three turns, but with all the drawpower in the deck you should easily be able to find the next when the first runs out! ;)
For similar purpose, I added Reverse Times, which are nice because they delay the opponent when he's rushing and can "kill" a creature later in the game when you have an Eternity out. With most of the NT's gone I didn't need that many Pendulums anymore so I changed the Quanta balance a bit. A side effect of this is that you have more Time quanta meaning that you can draw through the deck faster, which is good as well. This is what I end up with:
