Tested (quickly) in Sliver arena on the 5th, Oct. 2014.
Games Total: 29
Wins: 26
Elemental Mastery: 14
Wins (<100 health decks): 4
Losses: 3 (Eagle's Eye, Blue Nymph, Air mark - SoFo, Black Hole, Elite Otyugh, Gravity mark - Speed Rainbow, Time mark)
If you exclude the four wins against less than 100 health decks, the win rate is acceptable (22/25), and the EM rate is above average for just about anything that I'm aware of.
The secret is in tactical use of the siphon life's. (Even your own creatures are candidates to guarantee an elemental mastery.)

Normally I wouldn't include a nymph in a deck, but I figure Higurashi has one (at least).
No need to run any tests, as I know this deck performs well. I must have played thousands of games with it by now.
I use it quite commonly to run through silver, and am not afraid to use it in gold or platinum arenas. It's also my "goto" deck against Half-Bloods.
Judicial use of the black nymph's ability, and tactical use of the siphon life's, are what enables a higher than average EM rate.
With both decks being mono darkness, they likely aren't as fast as the ones in the above posts, but for myself personally, I prefer win rate over speed.
