You can also get fancy and use quintessence.  It's too inconsistent for my taste though.

So does everything need to be upped?

Figure it out.
Deja vu does 2/3 the damage unupped.
Novas or momentum need to be upped or you need two novas to cast.
Unupped pillars/adrenaline mean you need another turn to get out damage.

Unupped it loses both the speed and the power of the combo.  The third version with unupped towers or adren is probably tolerable.  18 cards upped, preferably more.  Without upgrades a simpler rush would be much better.

The first version was the one that ran me down with ease. I'm off to make this deck after I get 6 upped Deja Vus.
