"...you would not part an old man from his walking stick..." -Gandalf
I had a few interesting ideas for decks for adrenastaffs. In the past, I've found that it can be a fairly effective strategy, but it suffers from low damage output, making it fairly easy to deck out. It can also be vulnerable to OTK strategies, since it has no defense other than massive healing, which is useless against OTKs, and the low damage output gives OTK strategies time to set up.
Idea #1: Divine Adrenastaffs
The extra max hp given by shards of divinity should hopefully put the deck out of OTK range, as well as just give even more healing to the deck. It doesn't have many quanta sources, and does look a bit low, but QI swears that this is sufficient. If it isn't, -1 SoD +1 pillar or pend would probably do it.
Idea #2: Null and Void
Low damage output from staffs? No problem. With this deck, you can beat strategies that outheal your damage by reducing their max hp. A single siphon life and/or nightmare might not go amiss in place of one shard. Siphon life would let you sneak in a kill against a 1hp opponent if they had a large shield blocking your staffs, as would nightmare. If they had both jade shield and sanctuary out, you'd still be screwed, though. (mirror shield isn't enough to block the staff attacks) However, that's a fairly unlikely scenario.
Idea #3: Born Free
This one I've seen done before, but I'll add it, anyway for convenience. (the previous two ideas are new to the forum as far as I am aware) This one increases damage output as well as adds shield bypassing. It also -might- work unupped, whereas the other two would fail. (you'd have to use some pendulums, and cut 1-2 shards and maybe 1 copy of the adrenastaff combo in order to generate sufficient quanta, though)
Idea #4: Hybrid
No idea if the quanta balance would work on this one, but it might be fun to try. Don't play the tower shield if you even think your opponent has steal :p It isn't really necessary to include, but I figured it was a rather unconventional way to use up some of the excess nova quanta from otherwise unused elements.
A warning; I haven't tried any of these yet, but you might see me in pvp2 testing them out soon
Just wanted to see if the community had any feedback or suggestions to give on them. (probably no point commenting on #3; it isn't that original, and is mostly there to show my thought process that led to deck #4)
