Fun-Ass, Crazy-Ass, Weird-Ass decks

So, I get bored in chat a lot, so furball presented an idea.  2 people each build half a deck, 15/30 cards, then they get mashed together, up half the cards in it, and mirrormatch duel.  Came up with some pretty awesome stuff vs. mesaprotector.  Rules were only 3 of a card other than pillars/pends.

He submitted the death, earth and time, I submitted fractal, dims, and aether pends.  Antliontal ftw (he beat me with poison).

I submitted Mutations and quantum pillars, while he submitted the time and rest of aether.  We went different routes, with me upping mutations and using scorps as fodder, and him using CP like it was intended.  Was plagued with horrible RNG, played this twice, lost both times.

He submitted the frogtal part, while I did the immostuff, should have been lulzy if there were no good immotargets, but hey, frogs work.  I won with a ragepot on his destroyer and a couple frogs and such.

Look at this beauty.  I did the luci/hope/3 photons/and UG stuff as well as air quanta.  Mesa did the life/archangel stuff.  This deck actually seemed to look, and work very well.  If somebody wants to streamline it, go ahead, should be doable .  I won this one with an adrena'd archangel, an early immolation, and 2 UG's.  9 turn win ftw.

It sure was awesome. I couldn't believe it when I saw the last deck - my first draft had including Luci/Hope, as well, but I dropped it because of not enough space. Laxa, you must have ESP or something. Also, an attempt to streamline it a bit:

Dropped the archangels because UG is plenty for stallbreaking damage, and it's easy to drop the rest of the light quanta along with it. Luci is not needed because RoLs are upped. Added Quint, to be used on a nymph or maybe on an RoL with Mitosis. Total: 35 cards! (30 if you drop the , but I like the extra security that gives you.)

It seems mirrored half deck matches are quite well enjoyed by you guys. Do you think it would make a good pvp event?

Some questions:
nymphs should banned yes?
What about rares? Or is everyone expected to have at least 3 of each rare?
Pends should be allowed right?
Shards, banned or not?
Should there be a punishment if someone doesn't have the cards? Perhaps replaced with relic? Less upgrades?
How is the upgrade system? A certain percentage like half, or a set number like 29?
Should there be some side boarding? Like letting both players exchange some of the cards in the combined deck for others?
If side boarding is allowed, should it be percentage based or number based?

nymphs should banned yes? yep, or majo could make a 5 nymph qeen deck >.>, maybe replace nymphs with alchemy cards if you don't have em, still unfair though.

Pends should be allowed right? definitely, makes some decks harder to deal with (UG deck had to have a life mark, lots of excess life quanta)

Should there be a punishment if someone doesn't have the cards? Perhaps replaced with relic? Less upgrades? Other than rares, you can buy everything in the bazaar, I doubt this will be that much of a problem.  Maybe replace with a relic, but I don't feel like that would work well.

Enough so that you can kind of dictate how you want your deck to run.  Half was great, but I doubt that would work well for an event (not everybody is going to have a lot of ups).  Percentage over fixed number though.

If side boarding is allowed, should it be percentage based or number based? Number based, and set up the sideboard before the matches (kinda like the sideboard event).  However, cards you add in (switch or add?) should be percentage wise.

I did the earth/water.  He did rest.  he upped his dejas while I upped pandas, 1 pend, and 2 more things.  I won because of a topdecked upped pend, giving me 5 quanta for a panda, which trolled him very well.

He went fire mark which was a mistake, 0th turn destroyer vs pheonix, then I was able to PU his destroyer, got a mindgate, nother pheonix, mindgated a TU, won with 2 pheonixes and 2 destroyers.

He forgot his upgrades, I upgraded 6 quantum towers.  I got a very early sanc, and wore him down with a discord.  He mitosised my dune scorpion, and I adrenalined it.  Then, we drew quanta and moer quanta.  He eventually drew a death scorpion, which I mitosised .  Drew a forest scorpion with 2 turns left and him having 20 hp.  Adrenalined it, then mitosised it and adrenalined the clone for a perfect win.

I added the phoenix, air cards, and reflect, he added the rainbow. Early wyrm for me and earlier maxwell sealed the deal.

About time I actually play my by my own rules. We used 6 ups.

Beat him again with it although this time victory was harder.

I put in the immostuff. He put in the mono water. I lost due to a couple of blunders I made.

Lose again. Immolated an early steam machine for a golem, but nensuru got out early tears which meant he was able to deal extreme damage. Even an outlandish misclick by him near the end couldn't save me.

I have a similar but somehow different idea, it may works as well, but don't sure if it is fun.

1. Each player submit 30-40 cards, must be even number.
2. Each player pick at most half of the cards from the other's deck.
3. After the other chosen from your deck, you keep the remaining cards, you may discard them down to the number the other's pick.
(If you made a 34 deck, the other picked 13, 21 remaining, you can keep 13-21 of the remaining.)
4. Build the deck with cards you pick from the other, and the card you keep, plus any number of Pillar or Pendulum. (unuped only, you can only use uped from the deck you built in step 1.)
5. Duel!

Maybe one submitting a deck, the other split it into two parts, then the one submitting the deck choice which half he is keeping...

1. Each player submit 30-40 cards.
2. Each player split the other's deck into two parts, the lesser part must contain at least 10 cards.
3. After the other split your deck, you chose which part you are keeping, the part you not keeping will given to the other.
4. Build the deck with cards you keep and the other gives, drop anything which can't put into the same deck (the 7th nova or so, if it is a mix of nova and SN, you get to chose which to drop of course.), plus any number of Pillar or Pendulum. (unuped only, you can only use uped from the deck you get form steps 1-3 .)
5. Duel!
