Oracle : Decay

I went 40 cards with a blend of the OP and ddevans' masterpiece cuz I was not liking my last near-debacle-that-ended-in-EM-anyway experience where I nearly decked.  I still had to discard some cards (I chucked 2 hourglasses from the 3 in the opening hand) since the quanta was slow early which confirms the deck is not optimized.  I added 1 SoD just for a little extra coin since the mark is .  And a true pro would have all upped QTs, but I digress....

Decay stole 3 sancs before I could protect one, and he later stole 1 hourglass over a sanctuary.  The hourglass was enough to get me set up with quanta to play the shield and all the major pieces in place. The extra destroying power between Pulvy and BE meant there was nothing stopping me once my sanctuary was protected.

Easy EM with the no rare/upgrade deck posted here. At the beginning only placed 1 Sanctuary with EA on it and I left Decay to use all his steals on my pillars and one Hourglass. I got a Pulve before I got an Emerald Shield so I took care of his eclipses (note that I didn’t play it before I get the second EA so that got me down to 40HP before I started controlling the game). I was stupid enough to play a Golem without Quint was it was immediately killed but didn’t make the same mistake twice.
I didn’t get a card though !

Used a 7 upped, 40 card variant of my Decay counter, including hourglasses. Won with EM, despite early play errors and unupped Emerald Shield.

What I used, -1 Fire Eater (logic fail), +1 Enchant Artifact:

This should work fully unupped, as you don't run into quanta problems after you have an Enchanted Sanc. The second BE is just to ensure drawing it, it could be replaced with a wild card. The hourglasses are added to fill space and thin the deck. You can still get an EM with unupped Emerald by destroying Eclipse. The fourth EA can be used on an hourglass.

Did Decay change?

How can you recommend against a deck if you haven't tried it? The deck you've posted isn't one of the ones I tested, but in my testing one version went 9/10. Unless Decay changed, how can you recommend against that kind of record?

Second day in a row where both copies of the one card I need are in the last three cards. Dusk Mantle has to have blocked around 75% through the whole game,.

At least Decay was nice enough to give me two Pests for it - Paradox was an arsehat

Super late response: I do not recommend it, but I am not recommending against it. There's a difference in not suggesting something because you haven't tested it, and outright rejecting something without trying it. I have only tested vs decay using immortal growers and sancts, and found a nearly 100% winrate there, so I recommend those types of decks instead.
