Used ddevan's deck and got an easy EM (early Jade Shield helped a lot). Got a Pest out of it too.

Used a partially unupped build with extra pillars:

I was worried at first about only having one BE in there, but that's usually enough -- you only need to use it max 4 times to get rid of his Dusk and Lobo, and chances are you'll get it (and your second Firemaster and Quint) before then. Great deck. +rep.

Not at all. Gravy Firemaster builds up damage very quickly, so it was smooth sailing once I got that and the Sanc out.

You got another one here :)

I got down to about 7 cards before I drew the second Firemaster for the Butterfly Effect but was in no real danger of deckout.

Elegant answer to Decay there matey - nice work.
It is too late to apologise.  I have already forgiven you.

I've modified my previous deck to be rareless:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 5c1 5c2 5c4 5c4 5f6 5f6 5fa 5fa 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5rl 5rl 5rl 5up 621 621 621 8pq

Deflagrations are for Eclipses, Steals are for anything he steals from you. Easy EMs.

The unupped deck in the OP seems to have low reliability.  If anything, it needs EVEN MORE quantum pillars (or maybe replaced by one of the newer decks).  I beat him once with it, but just got creamed by him without being to play a single vampire (mainly because of never getting 4 aether quanta during the whole fight).  Is there a compelling reason for the adrenalines?  Sure they help *if you get the deck going*, but couldn't the space be better used?  Deck clog is a massive problem with the deck.

Got my first lava golem in original hand then forgot to quint it. I didn't get my second lava golem or forest spirit until I had about 5 cards left then decked out.

Proer tip: don't play any creature unless you can quint it, since Decay has 12 Siphons that are dying to be used both before and after Emerald Shield is played :).

Randomly thrown together 500 HP EM deck (tested it once, worked perfectly... though it took a while to deck Decay out):

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
592 592 592 594 594 594 594 594 594 5lm 5lm 5lm 77c 77c 77c 77e 77e 77i 77i 78q 78q 78q 78q 78q 78q 78q 78q 78q 78q 78q 78q 7jo 7k6 7k6 7k6 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q4 7q8 8pq

The basic Idea:
  • 6x SS
500 HP
  • 6x Sanc
Healing & Dev Counter
  • 3x Titanium (or Diamond) Shield.
Blocks most damage. 1 protected Shield and 1 protected Sanc is enough to last forever.
  • 5x PA
Shield, Eternity, Time Pillars, Sanc, +1 to waste

Anti Deckout:
  • 1x Gnome
  • 1x Eternity
  • 3x Time Factory
  • 1x Rewind
Extras:
  • Gnomes
Play one when Decay reaches 9 :aether and watch him fractal gnomes.
  • +1 PA
Can't hurt to have one more to spare.
  • Excessive :light Quanta
To play that sanc fast enough, preferably before turn 3.
